I'm in the position that I've never won anything big, and I want to, but I was also always was flying my own thing. I always wondered if results would have been different if I played meta lists I didn't enjoy, but at the same time, I enjoyed every big and small tournament I played in, even the competitive events in the worst of 1.0 ****.

I'm sort of in exactly the same position. I always latched onto anti-meta stuff because it was more satisfying, and I thought it gave me a good chance to win.

Honestly the reason I'm chasing the worlds invite is because Coruscant was so much damme fun that I want the chance to do it again, hopefully with some of my squadmates this time!

Of course I'll still have fun without winning big, but I am certainly still hungry.

I started to talk about it on the cast, but its han wedge norra, the full details of which are secret Whitewalker tech until after krayt cup when I've hopefully settled on them lol

That will probably be close to the Wedge/Norra/Lando list I put together. I started using afterburners on Wedge and he feels so much better.

Now thinking about it: the TAP is probably the most disappointing ship to me in 2.0. Everything else is either at least ok, or I do not care the tiniest bit.

Let me clue you in on what I think is the secret sauce.

Seventh Sister, FCS, Hate. Comes in at 51 points, and always feels worth it. Consistent attack, and surprisingly great ability. In practice I’ve found I’m reliably able to get it off 2-3 times or more a game. And when it lands… doesn’t matter how many dice Boba can reroll if you can just eliminate one.

And once I stick the Sister on a ship then she is hard to shake. Tremendous 1 on 1 potential.

Ive been flying her a bunch, and she’s always great, and fun to fly.

She was my very first TAP idea back in August/September. Keep her slim, mentally reserve the force for her infinite crackshot, and enjoy the ride. But I never tried it, and never saw it being played.

What would you think of 4 cheap "ace" ships? Throw in soontir with pred. Maybe have echo or whisper with Juke. Another cheap steal is double edge in the aggressor with homing missles and dorsal turret, if you get a lock you shoot with your homing they take a damage then shoot with your primary with a TL mod?

*Grand Inquisitor; terrible attempt at getting cute with a nickname

His name is the GRAND GALACTIC INQUISITOR.

He hears all, sees all!

GGI for short.

See I’d try and get Duchess in there. At 42 points is a great pocket ace. One of my favorite pilots in the game, period.

To do that requires either dropping Predator from Soontir or Hate from Sister, and you have to run Echo. Which is probably fine. Another to consider is FCS Maarek, but he really needs a support ship. The problem is that the Phantom is a bit pricey in a four aces Imperial list.

IMHO, the best nickname will be puns which start with TGI, and then either R for RAC, or C for Chiraneau, or D for Decimator.

Medium right?

@Brunas how complicated would it be to implement VTG in the dice calculator? It's a pain and a half to figure out how much damage the double taps ys do without a sense of when they spend their focus.

@Boom Owl Maul is big base. Look at the space between the nubs and the sides of the base.

Supernatural Primed Thrusters Eta-2 confirmed? Wait...SNR for Anakin at 32...Primed Thrusters is a tech....sad 😕

Who knows, maybe some Threat Tracker/Turr Phenir mechanics will be employed for that ship. "After you perform an attack, you may spend one force to perform a boost or barrel roll action. If you do, you may spend one force to perform a red boost or red barrel roll action."

But here's the catch: no linked actions. Get your positioning right, even when picking off a grunt, and it will be glorious. Get that positioning wrong, and boom! Even bigger twist, like 1st edition's VI FCS Threat Tracker Kylo (a silly build proposed by FFG), you actually want to move first/shoot first in most situations!

@punkUser because long ago i yelled "multiple attacks from the same ship and rebel han are your problem", and... he actually got rebel han working! So, maybe now he'll do multiple attacks?

But yeah, the problem here is largely an interface one. Also, I personally have less faith in people to correctly optimize things like lock spending over two attacks. I saw a whole lot of people take target locks when attacking with TLTs.

sure, but I want to know the numbers if they blindly stumble into the correct answer.

My Sophisticated Wild *** Guess (SWAG): Delta 7B is going to cost 18pt.

The jump from Tallie to Lulo is 3pt. Tallie is basically a bonus green and Lulo is basically trade a green for a red. That means that the jump from Tallie to Lulo is 2 greens and 3pt for 1 red. I have arbitrarily decided that if the cost in greens is halved, the points have to double. Of course they don't, but I have to have some arbitrary system. Plus, Trickshot is a bonus conditional die minus no agility for 2 pt. So on the dice changes alone, 7B is running a tag of 6pt. But it also has 2 shield upgrades, or in other words 2 upgrades worth 6 pt each to a 2 agi ship. So the end result is (3pt/2green) * (2green/2green) + 2([3-1green variable cost] *2) = 18pt.

You can be much lazier than that. It turns a TIE/fo into a TIE/sf, without adding the rear arc. Therefore it can't cost more than 16 points. BUT IT ALSO TURNS a /v1 INTO AN XWING, WHICH IS ONLY LIKE 8 POINTS.

PANIC
