Unless they're hiding Tua in the stack to the right I think that's the way to go.

Tua **** well better be in the Decimator re-release, she's practically stapled to RAC.

I know people keep saying this. I hated having Tua on RAC because it really nailed the ship to a spot. I'd rather go cheap, and go smashy-smashy.

Admittedly though, the Decimator probably isn't a ship I should be using...

Meh, no worse than scum Han crew or Dauntless.

Dauntless at least helps protect again being blocked, but doesn't give you the bonus action that Tua does at the beginning of Engagement so you know where everyone is before you Reinforce. As well, just like scum Han crew, you don't have to mindlessly use it every turn when you want to avoid stress.

I played against RAC armed only with Fifth Bro last week. The gravy on top being Sai Coording him a reinforce. He was horrible to me.

Sucker still had so many points holed up in there when everything else was dead or half dead.

Fifth bro doesn’t synergize with RAC, spend the points elsewhere.

Stacks if you roll 2 Eyeballs.

Does when he's rolling double eyes or TLing a blank into a second eye and you have no shields.

I wonder how those Droid bombers are going to use barrage rockets...maybe the hidden tactical relay?

Possibly. Right now it is looking like the Separatist Alliance equivalent of Fang coming with Afterburners, there for the faction but of no use on the chassis (outside of 1 quick build).

Sure, but the utility that he provides RAC is worse than anyone else in the game, as you need to roll double eyes on your one attack. You can't even use him for defense most of the time because of the 0 agility. He has anti-synergy with RAC.

I started running it with baffle to avoid this to some extent. Not currently hyperspace but using the deci's HP as a resource to be less predictable is usually a good strategy :)

You can get by without Tua with Dauntless, but it's really nice to have an much more reliable. Agile gunner is just on that line of something I probably want as well but don't like having to pay the cost for :)

You can say this as much as you like. I actually played against it and it was horrifying. It's anecdotal but I never said it was anything else.

It's double mods. He TLs as his action, gets the reinforce from a coord and can reroll and convert up to 2 focus. If he doesn't have the reinforce, switching off the pilot ability, he still has the eye to crit conversion through the force. He's more flexible and that one attack can stick around long enough to roll a whole bunch of eyes.

As for defence, there's gonna be times when you have R3 or obstructed. In fact, I think in our game he did get to force an evade at one point.

If it was pure, useless anti-synergy then it would not work at all. But it plainly does.

So who else is hyped about N1 lists vs vulture swarms. Muh prequel trench runs

A juking N1 swarm sounds dank.

Nearly got a game in with my oldest today, he wants to try Tripsilons. I'm debating whether I should try it with a 170pts list built to handle it or a normal 200pts list.

Looks like there is only one generic pilot for the N-1. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't have a talent slot, specifically so folks can't spam Juke.

If they do get a talent... I guess 5x Juking N-1s would be decent, if it fits; Focus/Juke on 2 red dice is almost as good as just Focus on 3 red dice. Not quite, but almost. And you'll still have some tokens if you decide to boost or barrel roll.

Something else cool to muse about: Juking Proton Torpedoes. Either with the Init 5 pilot taking a Lock, or maybe Anakin with Instinctive Aim. Maybe baby Ani doesn't get a Force Talent yet, specifically so folks can't InstA.

To that end, we chant: "Points and Slots."

I think the draw of 5th Brother for RAC is that RAC's ability is just kinda bad. So you get to make it work if you have the target in arc AND you took a reinforce action AND put the reinforce in the right spot. (Tua makes it easier, but also stresses you). Then and only then do you get RAC's ability to trigger. 5th Bro just says "it works". The only requirement is to have something in arc. If you're not getting shot at, you just Lock for double modded shots. If you're getting shot at you Reinforce and don't worry about putting the reinforce in the right place vs putting it in a place to trigger RAC's ability.

You're basically just not using his ability at that point, but he's still I5 and there will be a few times where you can use both.

Hyperspace is really really good.

Pretty much the best version of X-Wing I have ever played.

Your son is a monster!

Also, did the templates arrive? I have no idea how long international shipping takes...

Surely they have to be next on the hyperspace list.

Then again, I'd have never guessed Decimators, but I'm super hype/in for that.

I haven't touched my Decimators, but totally going to break him out in casual night. Empire just needs Soontir to firm up its place as the best faction.

That's what I thought. Decimator being next was a hard blow. Bomber or Lambda is one thing, because that would just check off a movie ship. Decimator is as good as no progress toward Interceptors, because it shows movie ships aren't a priority.

Makes me wonder if the printing schedule for 1.0 has anything to do with the order we will be seeing ships? Or perhaps what was maybe OVER printed?
