Apparently how you read it doesn't matter. The official ruling is that the person jamming selects the token.

To be fair though, in English it totally implied the opposite.

In standard English, the sentence can be read in three ways. I'm not so sure in formal English -- it's been a long, long time since I diagrammed a sentence of any complexity. But in a way it's irrelevant ... because if the way it reads in formal English is the way FFG intended, that's strictly a happy accident.

Chain of evidence:

Dee ruled "Pick a category; jammee choses specific token" at Mynock Open, which preceded all official events except Coruscant so a lot of people used the rulings document for their own events

Iain ruled "Jammer picks the token from this set of possibilities" at Phoenix. I was not at Philadelphia, so I don't know what he ruled there.

Choose your fighter.

I vote Not-Dee.

Wasn't Dee the one who tried to regenerate past his starting shield value with Chopper?

That's generally my choice for a lot of things.

I really don’t want upsilons to get more expensive, because I like using them in non-triple-upsilon lists.

How about FFG just bans three of them in a list? Just rule “You can’t have three,” and leave it at that?

Jesus...I had no idea the jam rule was as divisive as the "What color is the dress" thing.

Hamp. Marshal of PHX and PHI System Opens two years running, and Worlds one year, I think.

"But I was right on accident, so it counts!"

Even applies to rules now, haha

Don't you dare bring that dress into this! That thing was blue, dang it!

Who else would enjoy watching the forums burn with a very ffg tactic of not posting the point changes when they told us to expect them?

I’m in, except failure to post points locks us in for quick builds tomorrow at the store.

walk me through your tactics of avoiding it then.

By the way, where I am so far:

The goal is to take just the 4dice+focus (likely no lock!) from Dormitz. That can't kill an awing with heroic except for a lucky crit. Ideally I deal 3-5 damage to Dormitz, but that's bonus.

Turn 0: Place rocks at opponent's northern edge. I need space in the beginning. Setup all 5 awings in a line facing north. I have to test that part, but I need space to 3bank+boost without bumping myself.

Turn 1: Depending on his exact setup, 5 straight or 3 bank+boost. If I am first player, bump the I3 guy. Otherwise try to arcdodge the front two arcs.

That way I give only 20pt and am set for taking half of Dormitz after 2 turns. And even if I take a range 1 shot and lose a ship, awings have a good chance of running around them after until I'm ahead on points.

I've scheduled my Wave 2 Championship for Saturday. Should be exciting!

Is it bad that when I see the “so and so has quoted you” pop up I start thinking “oh no, what idiocy have I stated now?”

It better be a free evade action beyond your normal action, otherwise that's pretty bad

Via Google Trans:

It must be remembered that many pilots participating in the war are sensitive to the Force, but only in the ranks of the Republic they are so numerous. What's more - only the Republic uses the fighters, which in its construction take into account the existence and operation of the Force. It is, of course, the extremely sensitive Delta-7 Aethersprite, at the controls of which every Jedi can boldly use the Force. In practice, this translates into the ability to perform such actions that other pilots can only dream about. Jedi sitting in Delta-7 cockpits not only have quite a lot of available shares, they can also spend a Force token to perform a new violet dodge action. This is not the end! After a full maneuver, thanks to its tuned steering systems, Delta-7 can issue another Power token to perform acceleration actions or barrels.

Still doesn't fully explain what the purple actions are or their timing if there is a possible alternate timing for them, just that they can spend a force to perform one. Could still be allowed to be done while stressed if the token is spent.

On the likes of Mace (recovering force for performing red maneuvers), it could be pretty good with a coordinator. Evade, defensively speaking, is a direct upgrade from a force charge.
