Mostly because Nien, once close, is pretty dumb.

You k or talon behind and take 2-3 actions thanks to pattern analyzer. So he regularly shoots TL+focus, and is very, very hard to shake.

You gotta get him there, but yeah.

Lulo is comparable with Sabine. I prefer sabine because she's doesn't need to setup to get her 3rd red dice and with comparable setup could end up with focus evade, but Lulo is good too.

Poe is strong thought, supnat Luke is strong too

Also, do NOT JOUST with this list.

It doesn' joust (I mean, you can joust with anything), but it'll be terrible.

You literally approach from 3 directions. If Nien moves first, he ks or talons with known positions to guarantee he gets pilot ability; if second, he's just a super arc dodger.

Poe just threatens to redline whatever, and can bail with black one the moment a list turns in on him (make sure you're going 3+ speeds... 2 is acceptable. 1-speeds are not).

Lulo is who you want them to turn on (as they can clearly "pick 1" if you approach from 3 directions) because he's cheap. If they turn in, you don't double move (or maybe you do, whatever). If he dies, he's cheap, and it allowed poe and Nien to get into position. If they turn in elsewhere, boost into range with focus and chuck dice.

It's an ace list - do not joust.

I think you might be missing how nien/pattern analyzer interact now.

Nien can talon roll, take a focus action, then linked roll (getting a stress), then clearing it by having you at range 1 as well as the talon roll stress. Then he gets his regular perform action step action to lock to throw out double modded proton torps. It's more than a little silly.

That being said, do you have any kind of choice for matchups or anything? This is also decent, but less interesting if you into upgrades and combos:

Wait, doesn't Pattern Analyser only allow you take a single action off its trigger (as it specifies '1 action')?

Or this. I kind of have a crush on Bastian. Fly Zari as a wingmate for Bastian and do whatever you want. #blockingmatters #exceptagainstbobacuzPOINTSNOW

Pattern analyzer just gives you an action - it doesn't have the text advanced sensors does (no more actions during your activation). You can still do linked actions from it, or use Poe's ability, etc.

In the same manner that you're only allowed one action during your perform action step. Trust that it works, it's been discussed elsewhere.

Nien's ability allows you to get rid of the stress once you receive it if you have an enemy ship in his arc at range 1. Which btw, getting the stress doesn't occur until after you complete the action from pattern analyzer. So Nien can kturn or talon, boost or barrel roll (if wings closed) and get rid of the stress (or all if linked barrel roll to focus) after his reposition. Then just go on his merry way and take his normal action.

Pattern doesn't have that last bit of language.

because of that, any time you get an action, you can linked off it (if able).

I am having alot of fun testing lists in Hyperspace even without having points knowledge.

I guess Resistance & FO Ships/Pilots/Unique Upgrades are unlikely to change in cost.

I like 3-4 Ship Resistance better than 2 Ship Resistance but its still useful for testing.

HLC Poe for improving before possible torp points adjustments. Torp Poe for pre-points adjustments tournament and/or disappointing post-points adjustment.

I don't see many difference from how Wedge Luke Sabine should be played thought, you don't want to joust with them either, but again that's not a negative per se

Nien sounds an interesting stressbot cosplayer here, I didn't consider the chance of a double stress. How often does it come online in your experience?

Yes we will have a relative control of the matchup since we will do pairings like in the ETC, but if I were to go with 4 ships probably I would go with 4 t70 or Poe, 2 t70 and 1 A.

EDIT: also I can't imagine playing Poe with black one: that slam is the most fun I had with xwing recently

I've played this and thought it was pretty good. It's what led to my Poe/L'ulo/Zari/Bastian list above. It's hard to argue for a second BSR over L'ulo and more points to spread around.

I just realized Nien doesn't pass the stress, he just remove it.

The dream is over boys

If it is a team tournament, and you do the pairing thing, targeting synchronizer Poe and three homing Missile a-wings and try to get paired against ace lists.

I’m not sure if it is good overall, but it has some really good matchups.

Missile Ordinance feels like the Ordinance that has the most potential to be Video Game accurate/thematic.

Itd be cool to see a Missile that only does damage to Hull when Shields are down and otherwise does 1 shield damage.

Like 1:22 of this where it hits the ship but only shields.

Also Independence Day is an amazing nearly perfect movie.
