With all the talk about whether Nien or Ello is better... I'm missing Snap in these discussions.
He can have focus+TL every **** turn at 56 points with Composure, as long as you have an option that is illegal.

bid not deep enough for an alpha list is my only concern.

I wish we had enough room to take Nien, Ello, Snap, and Jess in a squad. I honestly like all of the pilots introduced (or adapted in the case of Nien) in TFA.

Fail Snap's ability Boost, snag the Composure focus, then Lock. Checks out.
Seems OK on paper, but seems like it'd be good to get a sense of on-table geometry for it.
But then again, if you don't fail boosts, you're still boost/focus without stress each turn.

I used the same "trick" with Jake. He gets even more out of it.
Jake attempts a roll -> fails? easy, take a focus. -> Performed an action? red boost -> pass a focus to another ship. 3 successful actions and one failed one.
Snap and every ship with a free movement can do the same thing. So, every BB carrying T70. Snap just gets it unlimited.

Write it on your hand (like "I am always using Dash's ability unless otherwise stated") to be part of the cool kids on stream!

The thing which I keep coming back to, however, is that for Nien and Snap, ships and obstacles have to be in the right positions at the right times.
Ello just doesn't care. His T-Rolls are just white. You'll still want to fully execute maneuvers and not land on obstacles, but he doesn't care about Range 1 vs Range 3 or any of that.

Actually Saboteur on Rebel Han with his re-roll ability he'd be pretty freaking trollish.

I know @gennataos will tear out his hairs, but if you keep another ship close you can very easily make sure to have a blocked option.
edit: to reemphasize: I had plenty turns with Jake where I could use it, without chasing it. I imagine that it will be easier, not harder, to do the same with a slower T70

Joke's on you, I don't have any hair!
I'm sorry, I'm Extended-blind. I can't see ships which aren't Hyperspace-legal.

Not only can you see them, but also you are now imagining that all of their dials were just revealed they are all 2 Forward

Who's the Rebel player, now!?!?!

Timetable is Soon™, because we like doing it. (and all of that delicious ad revenue, of course).
@Tlfj200 keep it coming when you have time. listener 4 has been a massive help for me to progress as a player. my new favourite example is at nationals i lost bobba turn one of combat to 10 damage from 11 dice, recognised i hit a black swan event and just secured whatever MOV i could before i moved on to the next game.
that was my 1 loss for swiss.
Edited by RynoZeroSpeaking of p-values: I'd argue that they have a use because they help distinguish between noise and actual signal, even (or especially) within a trend analysis.
Eg comparing strikers and phantoms, both with 20% advancement: the p-values for a two sided binomial test are 0.16 and 0.006, respectively. Meaning strikers are noise, phantoms are signal.
Edited by GreenDragoonOn a more important note: thank you guys for the google doc!
sorry for the triple post, but I need some croudsourcing to make sure I don't miss anything:
Which upgrades permanently change attack, hull or shields?
Punishing One, Moldy Crow: Attack +1
Shield upgrade, Virago: Shield +1
Hull upgrade: Hull +1
what else?
