It would definitely be really interesting to see the mechanic of "you can't shoot through this" be implemented on an obstacle for XWing. Maybe a certain range band can't shoot through it such as range 3, but it offers a wrinkle into the obstacle choice game that I'd appreciate.

Could also be an interesting counter to ordinance. A knife fighting squad can approach a bit more safely if those clouds prevent firing.

That would be cool and make them a must have for ace players, hugging them to make arc dodging easier...wonder what to do about when you pass through, no action and an ion would be great

Being tractored onto an obstalce that ions sounds like the saddest and most savage thing that's ever happened.

Easiest over/under: number of quadjumper pilots permitted in Hyperspace, 0.5.

HAMMER THE UNDER

Yeah, I don't really see them giving out ions, it's just too nasty when tractors exist in any form. Suspect they're more dust or Tibanna clouds than ion clouds

Based on a lot of squinting I think that new red token looks less like a red evade and more like an arrow, half filled and half negative space. And since they only come in packs with the new obstacle it makes me think it's the the new condition for hitting them and that it's related to movement. Something like making the next maneuver you dial be one difficulty harder, or always be red, or be one speed slower to a minimum of 1 along with some penalty. The latter especially would be neat

I'm 99% convinced that's a reduced agility token. Don't have a clue what would be required to remove it.

They look like a red agility arrow. Reduced agility until...?

Can I bet in increments of Redline?

I can't believe you don't want to see my favorite and most thematic pilot, redline! He's in all my favorite star wars scenes!

Important question:

Is Tim Horton's top 50 Invitational happening at Krayt Cup, or close enough that I could do both in the same travel weekend?

The tentative plan (hopefully confirmed today) is it will be the Friday (March 1). More news soon™

What if the token indicates that your ship has taken on some kind of condition? If it’s tibanna gas, I hear that stuff is explosive. I guess there’s design space for taking extra damage after something like an uncanceled crit from the gas that’s collected around your ship. And maybe everyone around you also takes a damage from the explosion? ?

(I can’t /s hard enough. What if I told you that all proton torpedoes are harpoons now?)

k, question...

why is token stacking defenders okay for the game but token stacking A-wings aren't?

They aren't?

I would consider those pretty equivalent and borderline problematic. It makes both pretty tough, with relatively low offense for the points.

Token stacking in general is dangerous and a threat to the game. Force falls into that category for me to.

Personally, I don't think anything should be able to double modify dice on its own without set up from the prior round or investment in low output support ships.

That would be ideal, but in general, token stacking is not as problematic when it's on ships that have low offense for the points (i.e., Defenders and A-wings).

Defenders have low offense?

I mean, they don’t splash damage in a R1 bubble?

I stand by my inquiry.

Sure.

But that target lock smells awfully close to harpoon missiles, and we just accept it now as cool.

What’s this ‘we’?

I have a bad feeling about these obstacles and new debuff tokens, though.

I agree. token stacking bad. double mod without work bad. so why do defenders get it and my a-wings get jacked?

I'll just have to learn how to fly better.
