I know it happened around waves 4.5-6 as well as with 8 and imp vets. They were in danger of it with wave 13 and what was supposed to be 14 but magically came at the same time, to cite a few examples off the top of my head

I'm wondering if we will get a double drop. But I'm not counting on it. The upcoming page is strange now, I wonder if they have given up on updating it or just don't care anymore?

The FO/R conversion kits are "at the printer" and the wave 2 singles are all "in development". I'm taking it with a grain of salt at this point.

The upcoming page has always been more of a... suggestion, than a hard description of reality. "Big" stuff, like X-Wing 2.0 so far or new game launches, often go un-updated until they're shipping. (Presumably to stonewall release date speculation?) And even normal releases pretty regularly skip entire stages.

Except that, as usual we're seeing things contract down to less than 6 viable ships per faction anyways. Other factions could have 10x the number of ships and it wouldn't make any difference to relative competitiveness. Only how good their top 2-3 ships are compared to the other factions top 2-3

None of wave 3 influence my wave 2 purchases... I was just getting the first order conversion pack (as it currently stands).

The new distribution and packaging seems a little more pricey than previous waves, so if I'm going to budget somehere, I might skip out on some of my wave 2 purchases, resistance conversion kit was a definite purcahse before hand and might be on the outside looking in now that I know about the waterfall coming in wave 3.

I was faction-specific in 1.0 and 2.0 will continue to be that way. Sticking to Imperial purchases and adding in probably Republic as what I stick to, just to keep things reasonable.

I think I'll get the Republic Squadron pack and do up the ships in early Imperial colors so I can get the new debris but I plan to stick mostly to Imperial and F/O; my only Wave 2 purchase was gonna be the F/O Conversion Kit.

The real question is: when are we getting the new Silencer? #resistancebias

This will only see table use on Pie, but it's potentially mechanically interesting, as opposed to the FO "Alpha strike harder" tech.

For the sake of actually having this card see use, FFG should make it an option for FO.

so I think this is about as expensive as you can make Poe:

Heroic (4-6 points?)
Black One (at least 5 points judging by Contraband Cybernetics?)
Proton Torpedoes (9)
Afterburners (8)
BB-8 (8-10 for Supernatural Reflexes lite?)
Ferrosphere Paint (no idea, probably at least 5?)

baseline cost for Poe I'm assuming is in the 70 ish point territory like Luke and Vader?

so a fully loaded Poe is pushing 110-120 point territory?

Phantoms don't even have TL anymore, so I dunno why anyone is worried.

The funny thing is that Rebels are the most TL dependent faction right now so this just kicks them while they are down, though I'm assuming a lot of the Luke/Wedge/Thane players were Resistance players all along?

I'm not convinced it punishes the Torp carriers as much as people think. It's not like it stops the torps from going off. It's more of a better board state afterwards, if the ship torp carriers locked lived anyway. It definitely hurts Supernatural Reflexes and Adv Sensor dependent users though.
