Those numbers are so sad. The pilot is good. Chassis less so, but useable. But the crew + Whisper combo is clearly a major factor.
Just the low #of Vader vs #of Whisper is ?.

Vader isn't bad. Hes very good actually. Its more just that White PTL on 9 HP, Medium Base White Boost, Dash Twice Per Turn, Trajectory Sim Auto Crits, Comm Relay, System Phase Range 0-2 Damage Dealing Hot Shot Co-Pilot, I6 double repo pilot with Vaderish offense at R1, all at I5+, with 10-15 points to spare is hard to pass up.

I ran LW first, it’s fairly good. I could go to 200 and fit it. The issue I had when I made the Mynock Open list was I couldn’t fit both Kanan and Luke Gunner. So had to drop it to trickshot. Running a whole day without it I didn’t miss it too much and I kinda liked how I could fly the two ships closer more.
R2-D2 was also in my first Han/Luke build I tried, which was great cuz I faced Palob when I tried it and Jyn wouldn’t have mattered lol. But again, for Mynock I had to make cuts and Jyn was the cheapest to get the evade in there. I kept her in for same reason, but also because Jyn helps Luke out too. It’s the only way Luke can modify blanks. If I had LW, Jyn on Luke will be harder too.
Wedge certiainly did that, but he never did enough damage without double modding his torps. If he waited to double mod, he’d be dead by that time. Luke’s just way better. Can provide what I was missing all day.

But then you couldn't have luke gunner.

Offensively speaking, against a natural 2 green dice focused ship, Wedge and Luke are pretty equivalent (Luke has a 0,1 more expected damage).
Luke would be better as a damage soaker, which is good too, but having him force you to cut things from the falcon and you are also dropping to ps5.
He's definitely worth testing too, at least he's funnier to fly than wedge

I’d be fine with it if it was on one single ship and that’s what the ship did well, that’s like it’s niche. T-Sim is icing on the cake for the Punishers.

I'm looking at beefy ships that can spread dmg. Not saying this is good, but exploring a Braylenn/Cassian (Pilot)/Biggs squad. That's 21 HP with 55 points to spend.

Buddy took the 3 B-Wings (Braylen, 2 Blades with Selfless/Shields) and Biggs. Was 3-0, faced Dale Cromwell and Dale was sweating hard. That game could have ended about 5-6 times either way. My buddy isn’t that great of a player either. He lost one other game, not sure against what.

I'd say they just shouldn't exist on ships that can equip other munitions, especially torpedoes. I don't see Scum Nym being such a problem with TrajSim (as of now) and it's likely in large part to not having missile or torpedo slots.

thats a list I was looking at as well. just trying to figure out if blades were better than x-wings for the points. but that is a ton of health.

I think he was on stream for a game, right? I was leaning towards something like this, but I really don't know if I even want to play this type of game.

I think if the intent is taking punishment and sharing the damage, the B-Wings might be better. That's a lot of shields to toss crits at.
If you're a believer that your green dice will save you, X-Wings are the path to greatness...
Edit: Oh wait... I had a point to spare in my list... trading a Red for a Blade with Selfless seems somewhat wise...

green dice never save me... the amount of times I've completely blanked out on an a-wing defending at r3 behind a rock and get 1 shotted is ludicrous.

I loved this list, and thought the game he played on stream he did great!

Green dice rarely save me. They wait till the odd game and provide rolls of dramatic importance. Gee, I've got one hull left, my opponent rolled two hits... and I've got two green dice and no tokens... Well, this was fun. Oh, Natties!
I much prefer the T-65 dial to a B-Wing, but if you're playing "mobile oppression palace" the B-Wing seems a better choice...

My personal favorite is when you nattie out on the last roll, but they rolled 3 hits to your 2 and you still die. Begging for natties all game, and they just betray you at every turn.
