I'm not going to lie - I like marking a person's Krayt Bounty™ in their age of attainment.

May your families trophy of scalps continue into 2.0!

Americans wrong again as usual! ? ?

Launch Bay Next is awesome and the app i have seen everyone use here.

Slick, sleek, works offline. Just fantastic. Just looks so professional. And is super reliable.

Written by a Scandanavian.

YASB looks like it was cutting edge in the 90s!? ??

However, both those people are community heroes to be frank. So great there are alternatives to the FFG App.

He's really good, solidly top half, which given his age is awesome. He was 39th out of 67 at last year's PTL Open, at 7, in large part because he was matched up with me in the 5th round and I know how he plays, so it was mostly an insta loss. 3-3 was nonetheless a good record for his first big tournament. How seriously people are taking the game now locally (while mostly not being that great...) killed it for him. It didn't feel like a game anymore.

That’s pretty amazing! I’ve got friends who play and are only starting to show their kids the movie around the age you taught him to play... kid’s gonna have a real leg up on strategic thinking when he’s fully grown!!

Related, our ‘local’ launch tournament is up at Pandemonium Games (same place as the MI regional). Right now Facebook says 20 going, so I’m hoping to see two Howl swarms (or fewer).

Any anecdotal thoughts from people as to how common 6-7 ship swarms seem to be? Is it actually meta-warping your local area at all?

Trip Aces is just fun

I agree.

Also I think alot of people look at more than 3 ships as being sorta awkward/annoying to have to move around even though 5+ its not that bad at all.

Fun fact, it's actually not that great a thing early on. He tried the chess club when he was in second grade (the youngest they're allowed at their school) and dropped out within weeks because the game was not complex enough and the opponents were not good enough... keeping those 3 boys challenged is a full time job!

It's time for a tought exercise. I would actually appreciate any analysis, the more depth the better. IDK, Krayt Deck if you really get into it.

Say FFG was to release a new small-base ship

It's an Imperial ship, 3/2/4/2 statline (single forward arc only)

Action bar of Focus, Lock, Roll, SLAM.

Ship ability "After you perform a SLAM, instead of receiving a weapon disabled token, suffer 1 damage. After you perform a SLAM, if you executed a speed 3-5 maneuver, suffer 1 damage"

X-wing dial, but with 2 sloops instead of 3 talons, and the 2 banks are white and 3 straight is green.

Upgrade bar is 1 Mod, and a config. The config reads " Add (Astromech) slot. You must equip an R2 Astromech, without paying the usual upgrade costs"

Init 1, no EPT

Init 3, EPT

Init 4, Unique, EPT, "Once per turn, after you execute a speed 2+ maneuver, one enemy ship that you are touching suffers 1 damage."

Init 5, Unique, EPT. "When attacking, if the defender is not in your bullseye, roll 1 fewer attack die. When attacking, If the defender is in your bullseye, roll 1 additional attack die."

how much would you pay for these ships? Why?

Played interceptors at my release party. They were super fun and I’ll keep playing them, but I’m a little worried it felt like pub-stomping. Letting me flex on the locals, but I have no idea if they would be good enough for a hyperspace whatever.

About $24. It's the going rate for 2.0 small base expansions here.

More importantly: if you were going to suggest this to that majority of the population who care about lore more than game balance, how would you justify it?

I'm thinking TIE Hunter.

Replace the config with the following:

Solar S-Foils

Open (side 1)

At the end of the Activation Phase, you may flip this card.

Closed (side 2)

At the start of the Engagement Phase, you may recover 1 shield. You may not perform attacks. At the end of the Engagement Phase, you may receive 1 stress token to flip this card.

I think with Supernatural Reflexes and Advanced Sensors in the game, I have a hard time paying much for something like that. I love the idea of paying health for speed, but if you pay that cost and someone just "nopes" out of there, no consequences, seems pretty rough.

Hey guys check out this cool new Custom Game mode that I made with the 2.0 App.

"No Glory" variant is pretty cool to and the variant that most interests me.

"Playing Favorites" is just all the aces but bans Super Natural which is neat.

Ban supernatural? Why ever would they feel compelled to do that?

"No Glory" looks fun, but I'm not sure I'd be able to convince enough people to play. Imperials seem to have a distinct advantage since they have the most INI4 generics (TIE Phantoms, TIE Interceptors, TIE Defenders, E-Wings and Fangs are the only ships with INI4 generic pilots).

My local store hasn’t got scum kits in yet, waiting on the distributor. We held a tournament today anyway. Six people turned up, and six imperial lists were played. If it wasn’t for a last second list change, we would have had six punishers.

I think i might know the local meta until we get scum kits.

Does anyone know who made the worlds sleeves. I need more!

I get that, but if this ship was to be released tomorrow, what would be a fair price for each? I know they are not in the "You can have 5" bracket for the generics, nor are they in the "you can have 3" bracket, meaning the I1 is somewhere between 41 and 50?

Probably 43+/-1. It's basically an X-wing, trading S Foils for SLAM shenanigans, but SLAM shenanigans with a big cost, so they can't be used so much for pre-engagement maneuvering.

To build on this, how much would you want for those named pilots?

If they could only SLAM speed 2+ moves, but the damage for SLAM was a flat 1, would that make them better or worse? How much so?

A Glock looks like 2 bricks put together but if you ever drop a non Glock in the dirt you pray as you reach for it that it turns into one. ;)

That said I imagine the offline functionality is huge for you guys, even when visiting my father whose block is surrounded on 3 sides by farmland in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin I get reliable high speed data on my phone. Ironically the one time I wished I had offline mode was in Europe, but luckily I am also the alpha loremaster 2000 and just knew everything off the top of my head back then. Like you said though, to each their own and we're lucky to have such a dedicated community

I think bruno should put all of the hosts of the next podcast on at once. You need a ******* handicap

First ever full 2nd Edition game was my Whisper (Juke, Sloane), Barrage Scimitar, Wampa, Sentinel Striker, and Alpha Interceptor vs Redline and 6 Academys. We tied because he only killed Wampa and I got half on Redline. Yay Final Salvo already!

@PaulRuddSays the game against Marcos (Fenn/Teroch/Freighter Captain) ended in a victory for myself. Caught Fenn in a spot that he either boosts and links into focus giving 3-4 of my ships rerolls but only range 1 of Wampa OR just take a focus and not be range 1 of anything. Teroch killed my Barrage Bomber after linking and got two more stress.

On that first game, when they yelled to confirm final salvo is the tie-breaker, TO yells back at them to recount. “We did!”

Re: the game with Marcos, seems like you kept Whisper alive long enough to do her job!

I think Bruno should have @catachanninja face someone in French! ;) Now, that'd be a real test!
