Chaos in the streets, apparently

It can go faster overall amd can stall with the 1-hard + barrel roll. The 1-hard in general (and not only on the end of an ailerons move) is a really fantastic move.
All that being said, 2 of each can be made from a single conversion pack so put them both in a squad and see what you think.
I think white the strikers you're paying for the slots to some extent, that concept doesn't seem to exist as heavily in 2.0, but if I'm not taking anything else on them I'm taking the interceptors. The only other reason I'd take the strikers is if some sort of dice circumvention becomes popular and you really want the extra hull.
But you

With how cheap Punishers and bombs are, that wouldn't be hugely surprising.

I, for one, look forward to harvesting rebel tears at Tragedy Simulated bomb wreckage from my 2.0 punisher swarm.

You're more likely to harvest the tears of your Imperial comrades flying Howl/Iden Swarms.

Ex rebel first edition players
I just didn't know how much I liked tie swarms until playing iden!

Yeah...nothing I'm looking at for Rebels will fly anywhere close to a swarm. You'll have to bomb my Rebels one ship at a time.

Hey, wait...I resemble that remark.
Except I don't really like flying a swarm. I only do it as a necessary evil.

As it turns out, the degenerate defensive combo tie fighters just happen to end up the heartless traitors. Iden and Del were Rebels all along!

You mean I can selflessness all this damage...without actually having to take the the damage? They let you do that????

Holy ****, I think Iden has the perfect flavor now.

I'm not picky. Salt is salt. It's all sweet when taken by a Punisher or two.

Iden and Del are the only TIE Fighters with defensive based abilities.....clearly these were the signs of their eventual treachery!

Their commanding officer was lax in their oversight duties.
I had to go back and check but I hadn't realized that Iden can trigger to block any "suffer damage" effect - (friendly) bombs, obstacles, etc. So it looks like the only damage source she can't block are the "deal a damage card" abilities like Wampa Seyn Marana. Cool.
Its hard to settle on a specific list that deserves practice time.
Very early days and things will be adjusted or get removed from game modes.
Depending on how FFG handles things the Meta might never truly settle.
Given that I think its going to be important to focus on improving with a general "archetype" rather than specific ships or pilots.
Any opinions on what two archetypes would be worth while to practice over the long haul?
Ideally two things that might continue to be relevant concepts as the meta shifts and as ship counts inevitably bounce back and forth between 3+ and 5+.
Based on the first couple weeks of list building and a decent number of games I think I am settling on these two:
- Ace + Mini Swarm
- Double Ace + Bomb
Should allow flexibility to deal with a swarm meta and offers some options to chase bids or ignore bids against ace heavy metas if ship counts begin to drop.
Any strong opinions on this?
Following the meta and taking w/e the latest power lists are will always remain in my playbook as a third option of course if things ever are allowed to settle that way.
Edited by Boom OwlDouble Ace + Bomb I think will be stronger. Specifically, Double Ace plus Trajectory Deathrain.
I think my local meta will be Wave 1 only for at least a month and I've been trying to figure what I want to play. It seems like it comes down to Vader + Mini Swarm, Luke + friends, TIE Swarm, and Boba + friends.
