Other interesting thing sI haven't seen mentioned yet:

Esege is more expensive than Miranda. Seems as though they think mods are more important than regen. We shall see.

A force point is worth ~6 points, as seen in the inquisitor. However, this may just a fluke of the platform.

Across the board, force users are more expensive than other pilots.

- Exceptions: Fenn Rau (Phantom II) it 10 points more than Ezra, showing they are wary of his ability and coordinate making a massive comeback, and Captain Rex Is the Same price as Ezra, showing they value abilities that harm your opponents attacks at a higher level (See biggs as well). Or is this just that Ezra has a force value of 1, and is therefor cheaper?

Rebels and Imperials are tied for most unique force users, but imperials have a generic one, so they get that. (Rebels have 3 Ezra variants though, so technically more). Additionally, crew that grant a force are more prevalent among those two factions. Scum have 2 force-sensitives.

Finally, is Sabine (Attack Shuttle) + Debris gambit stupid, or bad for 40 points.

While not a sexy option, what about this:

If 1.0 taught us anything, it’s that a faction with only 3-4 playable ships works just fine!

Funnily enough the point list killed quite some hype for me. I don‘t want to take the time to add up potential builds and constantly cross reference with the new pilot and upgrade texts. Ain‘t nobody got time for this!

I assume the answer is that the app isn't ready and this is a stop-gap solution since Gencon is next week.

Because people will be picking stuff up at GenCon I suppose. It also acts like a little beta test for the data while they polish the app - they already caught a handful of mistakes last night after all.

Pirate serves no purpose. I want to avoid rocks. That means L3 it is. The role is support ship, using coordinate. That earns that the neat trick with Beckett is an option, or else maybe better is Tactical Officer to make the coordinate action white.

3 Shadow Squadron Aces with Juke, Collision Detector, Seasoned Navigator, and Stealth Device is 100.

Does anyone else think Duchess w/ Fifth Brother & either Lone Wolf or Elusive is a steal at 57/58 pts?

Seven quadjumpers? Seven? 35 health behind 2 agility, and the chassis ability? Am I taking crazy pills?

Important point breaks for spam are 25 for 8, 28 for 7, 33 for 6, and 40 for 5. There are a lot of obvious things priced at 34 and 41 (tie aggressors with dorsal turret, x-wings) that lead me to believe a good chunk of this is “well, we can’t let you have five of those” balancing rather than relative effectiveness through playtesting.

Interestingly, six hwks still fits.

Edit: I still can’t believe they are letting us have howl Iden and five academies, I would have bet quite a bit that you would have been priced down to a six Swarm. That is pretty clearly the starting benchmark, right?

BBBBRex seems good too, now that I look at it (but not even a little bit wave 1).

Question: what is the best generic Proton Torpedo platform build in the game?

I'm currently looking at:

Nu w/ OS-1, Proton Torpedoes, FCS, Adv. SLAM is 50 points

You have reload, SLAM, the ability to SLAM and shoot (and mod your dice with FCS + Adv. SLAM focus) but you are stuck at INI 2 and it functions more as a "Beta" strike than an Alpha strike since you are unlikely to be able to pick up a lock on the initial approach. The best move seems to be managing range on the approach so you can SLAM into a blocking position, pick up a lock with Adv. SLAM, disengage and then re-approach.

Anybody else have better ideas?

I like the look of Punishers. Generic is 36, then take Protons (9), FCS (3), and maybe Baffle for 50.

Linked Boost-Lock, FCS to keep the lock, and white reload. Add to that that the medium base moves faster and they have an arguably better dial.

I really really really like the fact that higher initiative things can be more efficient than better lower initiative things. It sets a really good tone for how players should think about moving first vs last.

on that note, specifically on Strikers and Duchess-

Here are 2 lists with just a handful of wiggle room left over. Which of the 2 seems better?

- OGP (Sloane)

- Duchess

- 3x PS 1 Striker

3 points of Swag to hand out to Duchess and the shuttle.

And

- Whisper (Advanced Sensors, Sloane, Juke, Stealth Device)

- 3x PS 4 Striker (Crack Shot)

3 points of Swag to work with

How do both seem? I have no idea what I'm doing. Is PS 3 vs 1 and a Crack Shot worth 5 points on a Striker?

I think im gonna have to do some testing against Boba, Tie Swarms, and Luke/Norra+, and some other stuff before knowing what Striker based list I like the best. Just as lost right now....to many cards to sift through.

Somewhat unrelated but I really am looking forward to seeing what people do with Grand Quiz crew. Getting to decide on cloaking actions after already taking an evade seems cool unless I am reading something wrong. Completely unrelated to Strikers though.

Phantoms can't target lock. FCS doesn't work for them.

Yeah, I agree, FFG is probably using this as a sort of beta-testing.

By the time wave 1 hits, I'm expecting a rebalance that brings some of the things that got nerfed the hardest (Ghost, Jumpmaster, E-Wing) down in points. Also likely some things (K-Wings, maybe some TIE Fighter pilots, Dash, maybe Gunboats, maybe TIE Defenders) get brought up in points. Verdict's still out on TIE/Advanced in my opinion. The ship can be really nasty in a good pilot's hands and should not be valued based on its raw jousting efficiency.
