What else is on your 2.0 hype list?

I'm thinking the initial impressions that fully modified dice will be difficult to find may have been a little exaggerated.

The more I proxy the more it becomes clear its mostly still achievable on offense at least, though not as easy as before.

Especially thanks to Force and all these crazy 2.0 Crew/Gunner.

Defense though just seems out right worse all around which is exciting on its own.

Not much to be honest. I'm intrigued by B-Wings named pilots and I would love to fly again generic imperial phantoms.

Yeah, offensive mods might be obtainble, but with the drawback of being mostly limited to medium/large hard to reposition no defense ships AKA easy wins for what will prove to be the most efficient generic ships spam.

People are telling me this is a good thing thought and I hope they are right.

Once again thought, when I was starting to get a bit of 2.0 hype, the almost confirmed news of official event restricted to waves released has killed it. I can't say to be looking forwards to 3-4 months of xwings vs ties vs the occasional boba+fangs

So, on boba needing glitterstim - I think that's a first edition mindset. Boba IS the glitterstim of second edition, especially with something like fearless or ig88d or perceptive. That's a level of dice modification that's entirely in a league of its own.

Another second edition topic: are EPTs really bad now? Like, I think Juke may be the strongest. And in 1.0, Juke was very rarely ever taken unless it had something else that made it useful, like Comms Relay and/or Omega Leader.

It's hard to imagine a world where Boba takes Fearless, but I think that will happen in 2.0

Bad only in context/relation to 1.0 EPTs. I think 2.0 needs to be examined in a vacuum, else people will flat skip over stuff.

This is what makes Boba so crazy. Hes like the physical re-incarnation of Lone Wolf.

All Boba ever needs in 2.0 is extra focus mods. What kind of mods are widely available in 2.0? Extra focus mods. True, there's no Glitterstim, but we still have:

  • Maul
  • Gunner Han
  • Perceptive Co-Pilot
  • 0-0-0
  • IG-D crew
  • IG-D crew + IG-A

Want to boost? You can still get re-rolls + focus. Want to Reinforce? You can still get re-rolls + focus.

Boba is something that was average good in 1.0 and somehow kept his exact same ability. That coupled with a more useable ship makes him crazy good in 2.0

7 out of 10 Legolases agree Boba, Vader, Luke, Tie Fighters, Tie Strikers, Lando, and Norra are the new meta.

Also Dengar probably. What is dead may never die!

Agreed. One thing worth noting with Juke is that since we now have Calculate and Force tokens, Juke has a wider set of circumstances where it can generate value. Say you are attacking IG88B sitting on 2 calculate tokens. With Juke, a Focus, Evade, Blank roll becomes Focus Focus Blank, either forcing IG88B to spend an additional Calculate token or take one additional damage.

Jumpmasters got the torp slot back. You can be assured that triple torpscouts will be the first list I fly in 2.0

Boba + Han(gunner) + Perceptive copilot seems pretty solid. 3 actions a turn, 2 if you bump with the caveat that you must do a blue move seems pretty good. Sure, int. 6 can shoot before you double focus, but an evade and ability should prevent much from happening then. With wave one only, not much is doing that. Add the mandatory title granting a re-roll and that is a pain machine.

Boba with IG88D crew paired with IG88A looks like tons of fun in a pre-nerf Attanni Mindlink sort of way. The changes to the bases and dials of both ships makes for a much different flying experience too.

Incidentally, it's weird trying to account for the fact that the value of Calculate/Force tokens scales based on the collective attack value/agility value of the ship - basically IG88 is more punished by having Calculate than 4LOM, though as we have seen all of the AGI 3 droid pilots have ways to get multiple green tokens.

Not a lot of green on that Firespray dial, but it's enough to live with. It has all the same greens as Poe

But you have boost and a free re-roll out the back. you don't need to han every round either.

Have fun buying 3 kits.

That's like 90% of the reason i support the release format. Could you imagine the community outrage if 3 jumps was good and you have to buy 3 conversion kits for it?

I mean lets be real here...

As much as I am hyped for 2.0 Boba there is no way in **** I will be using him instead of Super Natural Vader.

Thats why Dengar and Fenn are so important. If they are good Vader be a little more scared. If they are bad Vader will just 1v1 Boba like he does everything else.

And yes I know a bunch of generics with overlaping arcs can beat Vader.

2.0 is all about the best I6 stuff you can fit in a list with a bid that can also beat swarms.

At least until Kylo is returned to us...

These words will be prophetic or absolutely silly looking in a few weeks when we have points. Either way, there's no way to make statements that confident without points.

I thought kits came with two jumps?

I also am the only local going to GenCon so I'll be buying as much 2.0 as I can get my hands on to draft out locally so nobody plays 1.0 again

So I'l just draft more jumps. I'm the only local who owns more than one

Yea its more to kick up debate to be honest. I do love being wrong. Learn so much along the way.

Yep, I stay away from speculation and will just roll with threat cards until the app comes out. Although...

...despite being a staunch Rebel player to date, between Boba and seeing Supernatural Vader on the table, I'm quite literally on the verge of dipping my toe into other factions. There's a strong chance I'm switching from Rebels to Imperials for the 2.0 event.

My understanding is theres 2 dials but only one generic cardboard

It's in large part because it's Boba "Mother****in'" Fett and Vader.

...and I might as well create a signature saying, "If Rey/Poe is good, I'll just run that forever".

From being a Jedi to a Seperatist and a Sith, is he the first three faction possible character?

EDIT: NM, CIS and Sith would probably be the same faction.

I'm dumb.
