No pictures, sorry. I fixed a lot of pilot typos over the weekend - gkessels found a bunch as he was adding it to his xwing data project on github.
I will be at the 4 pm preview, and I am excited to see Darth Vaders and X-wings as far as the eye can see. It will be something like the early waves that I missed.

Can someone help me understand why it’s always the imperial purists that find the stupidest things to complain about on these forums? Is it because they’re awful at the game and only playing imperials makes that the easiest to see?

ITS BECAUSE FFG HATES IMPERIALS REEEE DONT YOU SEE PRE NERF WHISPER AND X7 AND PALP WERE FINE AND NOTHING SHOULD HAVE EVER BEEN BETTER THAN A TIE SWARM BESIDES WHISPER PALP X7
I still think that pre-nerf Whisper was way worse than anything we currently have. It straight up dumpstered anything PS8 and lower.

I think it's because they all came in from 40k, and are more glued to their factions.

I'm not quite sure? Much like advanced sensor nym it was oprresive on its own and bought in a new era of defensive stacking turrets. Plus we occasionally saw cool stuff like roark or tactican b wings show up as whisper counters.

Actual answer, its because there are alot of Imperial players who didnt use Palpatine in 1.0 because they think its hard.

It used to be you could pinpoint posts worth skipping over by looking to see if the user had a tie advanced or tie interceptor icon (Phild0 was the exception).
That seems to have been superseded now by the stormtrooper icon, which, seems fitting.

i'm really upset at @Tlfj200 for changing his to the same as chris because now i have to pay attention to which is which and i already have trouble telling them apart sometimes. Also the scorpion logo was pretty dope, i keep thinking about changing to an l5r icon but muh y wings.

There aren't any xwing pictures as an option anymore, so you're stuck with the weird vader head.
