I went to Croatia once. Zagreb is a lovely city. Also both Croatia and Bosnia were awesome to visit because they love Americans since the war. They just saw my American passport and let me through the borders. Every town has the main square/street named after Bill Clinton.

Why do you say that?

I think identical genetics are good for the same PS for movement order and firing ordering flexibility.

I dont know what the answer is. But i do know from brief time with Vader + 3 Gunboats ( I tried to make 3BQD even more bad and im not sorry ) and QD + 2 silencers in 1.0 that "ace" + a bunch of generics that approach out of formation is a really fun rewarding archetype. The same generics or a mix I dont care I am genuinely looking forward to ace + 3-4 in 2.0 if its solid.
Spent so much time with triple aces or 2 ace + support that I want to branch out to something closer to Ace Mini Swarm, even more so than Support Mini Swarm.

Wow, nice. The Bosnian immigrant population in St. Louis is hugely successful. They have their own neighborhoods and businesses, and the kids speak Bosnian/Croatian, but they're well integrated into the city community. In the U.S., I bet St. Louis has the highest population of white kids named Mohammed.

In this case, I think this is a totally different archetype than identical generics because your game plan doesn't begin and end with those ships.

Tim says i should root for belgium so i am, though france always has a special place in my heart because of zidane.

Correct. Mainly because DeBruyne and Hazard deserve the recognition though. I hope its Belgium vs Croatia in the end.
Also everyone remembers zidane but this is a close second...
X-Wing Content: What was the most fun "singleplayer" ship/pilot in 1.0? Kylo? Echo? Whisper? Vader? PTL Fenn Rau?

What I'm wondering is how many ship types to do? Maybe 2? Also opens up a lot of nice theme lists. Things that maybe fit:
X-Wing/X-Wing/Y-Wing/Y-Wing
B-Wing/B-Wing/A-Wing/A-Wing/A-Wing
TIE Bomber x2/TIE Fighter x4
TIE Reaper x2/ TIE Striker x3
Going back to this.
Need to improve the fifth ship I think...
Pity I don't have two HWKs. Might be better auto turret carriers for this...

Try it with ops spec like this: https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!298:140,264,253:-1:34:M.20;298:140,264,253:-1:34:M.20;9:120,-1,-1,-1:-1:-1:;9:120,-1,-1,-1:-1:-1:;278:210,-1:-1:-1:&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=
Also, I might consider BTL-A4 on the Y-wings, but that would take some play testing to determine ho many double taps you get vs. how many turret shots you get.

See, the actual turret is to work with the weaknesses of the Xwings. Those are support to discourage opponents from closing in and arc dodging.
Ops Spec isn't bad I guess...
Actually... I wonder if a variation of this could work? Should I fly this again at GenCon?
Is PS11 Wedge an upgrade on Pava? Gives me one high PS ace to react with while the Ywings bring the BRRRRRT!

probably? Another thing worth consideration is maybe getting grey squadrons in there to fire before the PS 2 rookies? Don't know where the points come from though.
EDIT: Can make wedge Kulbee to get the points. Not sure if worth.
Edited by Do I need a UsernameSo random though of the day: a few of us locally have started doing an alternate format that's actually really fun and if you haven't tried it yet you should.
Basically it's entirely like 100/6 but when building lists, your opponent gets to pick any two cards, and you must include those in your list. They must legally fit in a list together (so no Imperial and Rebel cards or something)
Some of the "meta" here are Kir Kanos, Debris Gambit, Eaden Vrill, Marksmanship, and Expose.

This is great and probably less boring than the original way to play Catan.
The last time I played Catan, It was during a three-hour bye round at a team fencing tournament. Bye rounds are interminably boring, but Catan managed to make it more boring than just doing nothing.
His video on how to play Codenames is great too.
I gave Nym/Ezra/Crimson Specialist a go today at a kit tournament. It was just as brutal as I expected. The big part is getting the initial engagement right. I think that it may even outjoust Miranda/Nym - as long as your Nym doesn't die in the first engagement I think NECS gets a solid advantage.

can confirm that depending on the outcome of the bombs Abombination will ruin a miri/nym on the straight joust.

My in-laws have a group of friends who get together for every holiday. They also have a yearly vacation to Mexico together. My wife and I are often invited to these gatherings. It’s nice because, you know, free food. Good free food.
The issue?
They play settlers. Over.
And over.
And over.
They’ve probably played it a thousand times over at this point. My pleas to try a different game falls on deaf ears, or, in the case I do make a breakthrough and get them to sit down to play, say, a game like 7 wonders, they have another game of settlers being set up as the game is about to conclude (which they have taken no effort to enjoy or accurately learn the rules).
They are in so deep, they refuse to imagine that the game they have wasted so many hours into is anything but the greatest and only worthwhile board game ever created.
It hurts. It hurts so much to see them pull out that duct taped together box every single holiday without even a discussion as to if there is another game they want to give a try.
revisiting listener 3 and meta distortions. if FFG enacted half points on everything for 1.0 what would change and what does that mean for 2.0?
for 1.0:
- ships with regen and shields equal to or greater than their hull may become optimal points fortresses. (eg. Poe, Corran, luke with Shield upgrade+IA, etc). because as long as they are on the table they can disengage and regen back to full points.
- brobots might be back, IG88-A might replace B since gunner is less popular at the moment.
- OL is a win condition vs any thing worth 50 points or less. because she can chip damage through to half and live on 3 hull herself.
Edited by RynoZeroThere is also hull regen now too, so that could add in more options.
5 minutes ago, Scott Pilgrim2 said:There is also hull regen now too, so that could add in more options.
true. i have a theory that repairbot will be better than R2 in 2.0 just because its regen that can also fix game ending crits.
