I'm assuming "cheaper" means something like about 1/3 of a list for an ace (with upgrades) or 1/4 of your list for a generic (with upgrades) rather than the 40-45 points /100 in 1.0 - they still seem pretty capable and annoying, but just don't have the offense to carry almost half of your list anymore.
Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

83 and 84? No.
32 and 33? Yes
edit - dbl toast
Edited by JasonColethe more dangerous crits and more hull thing will be concerning. small ships might have a pretty strong leg up since you don't really want to tank damage anymore if the crits are going to be that much worse. The new Darklighter E-Wing might actually be a strong call against high hull/low shields ships then... I didn't really think of the crit effect on the new game yet... interesting.
On that note, it was generally frowned upon to "pay for crits" during squad building in 1.0. Will that theory change in 2.0?
I think it will depend a lot on the costing? The issue in 1.0 with chasing crits was that it was unreliable, expensive and had a high opportunity cost. If crits become more reliable but the upgrades to chase them are still expensive/less good than alternatives then it's still a bad idea.

If you know that the ship you're hitting cares about any crit you land, it's a lot more palatable.
You sons of dogs, I logged a run more than 48 hours before you released this episode, and I got name shamed twice!

past you should be ashamed!

Oh no... Why didn't I notice the 2.0 Death Troopers before?

1) SHAME
2) Dilemma: actually go back through the episode and listen to the SHAME section again to see who Chris flubbed by shaming twice - because I remember this happening - or be lazy and pretend I'll go back another time to do it later. (It's totally the latter. His secret is safe due to the massed apathy of the internet!)

thats my theory too. if the meta turns into fat "turrets" then I have no choice to run B-wings and Gavin

Wait... has that been spoiled?
If so... why haven't we been talking about it?

Jamming beam to apply multiple jams for each uncanceled hit/crit + ISB Slicers = REEEEEEEEE! Muh Dice!!!!

ISB Slicers might as well read "enemy ships at range 1-2 are playing 1.0"
Death Troopers is Carnor Jax level brutal - gotta see those costs
Interesting to note that the imperial faction symbol is on these cards as a restriction marker rather than the "Imperial" text we've seen elsewhere. I'm curious which templating ends up being standard?
It's the Imperials who have "control" now...
Thankfully, Death Troopers are double crew which will limit which crew carriers can deploy with them. Slicers though... uhg. Unless points are prohibitive, why wouldn't you bring them if you have a ship with Jam action?

Jamming Beam gunboats and TIE Phantom Slicers. Think 2 of each can fit in a list at least? Probably has room for munitions/another cannon on the gunboats. Sounds potentially sad.

you mean reapers and Lambda... and Decimators...
What are the other imperial crew carriers again? Phantoms and bombers?

But swarms are good now?
Im guessing a giant pile of jam tokens will just make the occasional Fat Dash player sad as it should be.
