5 TIE Bombers with Seismic Charges? Seems not ideal, but potentially very satisfying.

There's nothing, other than the generics, that I'm really looking forward to actually fly.

It might be my general skepticism about 2.0 filtering it through negativity lens, but I'm not seeing particular gameplay related step forwards. Almost Every upgrade seem weak, astromech is just regen or pseudo regen slot, turrets feels completely noob traps other than few notable and scary exception.

It's either set up your ace by stacking supporting effect, abuse luke crew/high ps turrets or generic spam. The first two arent something im looking forward to play and even the latter im not so fond of.

Still plenty of time and things to be spoiled to prove me right thought, I'm really hoping to be jus excessively pessimistic

  1. Luke Pilot (actually #1, in order)
  2. Norra Y/ARC
  3. Seismic Charges
  4. Wedge (god that's weird to say)
  5. A U-Wing, named or otherwise (What is happening?)
  6. Arvel (Dankest timeline)

Homings are super cool. Z95 clipping you in arc range 3 obstructed? Would you prefer a damage or do you believe? I have to assume they're dirt cheap or there's no reason for them to exist and that's awesome.

Somewhere in the 2-5 range I'd imagine. Oh wait, 2 charges? 3-6?

Potential mess about other ships technically obstructing attacks but not giving green dice by default incoming as well- Wedge Dash arguments for everybody!

Still reviewing. Totally a “wtf thats weird FFG did another preview artic... OH WAIT WTF???!” moment this morning seeing it was spoiled, but early underrated pilots- Leebo. Spend a token, get a token. There is something there.

I'm excited to fly classic Rebel fighters against classic Imperial fighters again... and by again, I mean, outside of controlled scenarios made up in casual settings... TIE swarms look fun. Generic Interceptors got a boost. A-Wings should benefit from this new system as well. Those were fun to fly in the first months of me playing X-Wing (and rarely ever since except meme lists... Sorry @Wiredin)

1.) 4 well equipped generic Interceptors.

2.) 4 well equipped generic X-wings.

3.) 5 low PS Interceptors.

4.) TIE Fighter Ace Swarm.

5.) TIE Fighter Howlrunner/Academy Swarm.

#hype for:

Lando Pilot and Crew.

Wedge

Y-Wing named pilots have interesting abilities with being at range 1 of enemy ships and range 1 of each other (besides Dutch)

A-Wings, maybe swarms with missiles like Homing or Concussion

Ten Numb and Braylen Stramm. Great synergy with their linked action and dials.

I'm so pumped that my list has largely remained intact going over to 2.0. Just with Shera now instead of Norra!

Wedge/Jan Ors/Shera Bey. Yup, I'm set. lets do this!

I'm sad that players are not getting the 2.0 they dreamed of, but rather reheated 1.0.

It would have been simpler and cheaper to just tack on the variable points app to 1.0, keeping everything the same and investing efforts into balancing through cost.

I kinda get Luke breaking the game as he was the hero (though not the best character) of the core cannon of our Universe, the IV-VI movies. But, I still DON'T like bringing the 360 Turret into 2.0. That was/is a STUPID decision.

With that off my chest, this Dash love from the developers is kinda weird. I loved Shadows of the Empire too, but Dash was never at Darth Vader level, not Han Solo level, not Boba Fett level. He needs to be put in his cannon-ic place, and certainly not be the top ship. But h**l, I have to admit, Dash is better to hold that than Miranda, whoever that chick is.

Fingers crossed - no gunner crew slot on the YT2400

When I saw the file for xwing 1.5 that was put together, I was curious as to why cassian andor crew was banned as he was largely a non issue upgrade throughout his existence. I was told 2.0 was removing perfect knowledge or training wheel upgrades.

I believe the correct phrase I should have used at that time was “I don’t believe you”.

Dash + Outrider + Trickshot feels like I'm being trolled by FFG. We all thought we were free. But Fantasy flight be like:

We still don't know upgrade slots, costs or anything... so many comments being made with a v1 slant and perception.

Dash will be good, as a UK player, Leebo will be too ... Lando is great, it looks like more thematic synchronization is occurring (Lando with Nien Nunb crew being as much of a gimme as Rey Finn was in v1)

Curious... hypothetical point costing here... but if Dash with Luke Gunner and Outrider plus some EPT like expert handling costed 150 points out of 200 (3/4s the list) will this be ok? I have no concept or correctness or reason for this number... Just seeing what people think.
