Probably right, the native force modification is insane. Its like everyone with it is just Poe now and thats before you consider Vaders multiple actions regardless of stress or bumps...

So thinking?

Vader: 65

Soontir: 55

Inquisitor: 50

Fel and Inq have go be higher than that. New Fel is better than old Fel without equipment, has he has PTL partially baked in, and they claim to put a special premium on I6.

is there video incoming for this week's episode, or is it just a normal podcast?

Hopefully. Though i think the cost of generics will go down so you fit more. I think they really want more 4+ ship builds on the table across all factions so when things get destroyed people are less salty about it. But thats probably wishful thinking on my part.

Heres a question....do we think 5x Rookie T65s will exist in 2.0? If not I think only 4 fitting serves as an easier reference point for everything else.

Wait, you will be able to use Vader force power even if he bumps or he's stressed?!?

Why FFG, why

You can't use his pilot ability, but any force tokens are still usable for their base effect.

Ok, that's more reasonable.

I still don't like it, but at least doens't utterly broke again one of the core concept of the game

I need the app... like now. The more that gets spoiled the more I want to play 2.0...and see if my theory crafting works

Luke / supernatural reflexes, R2D2, Afterburners, Servo Motors

Wedge / Outmanuver, R5D8, Afterburners, Servo Motors

Jan Ors / Squad Leader, Tactical Officer, Afterburners, Moldy Crow

I'm already looking forward to 5 lists:

  1. A-wings, 3-5
  2. Imperial Aces with Vader, Soontir and a pocket ace
  3. Ace+Miniswarm
  4. Miniswarm + Supportship with e.g. Sloane
  5. Xwing (Wedge/Luke) + Jake + X

Can't wait for September!

It'll be up soon, like in a couple hours soon

My thing is that I love identical generics for Empire-

I already can't wait to see what I can do with each generic.

Inb4 Double Defender+Soontir or Palp Shuttle fits.

Also- real question. Which ship do you expect to cost more?

The Initiative 2 Patrol Leader (Decimator) or the Initiative 4 Onyx Squadron Ace (TIE Defender)? My guess is that they will have similar costs.

Nope, every last drop is too high of quality to consider trimming it down.

i agree

With the dice staying the same the math should largely stay the same.

In most cases, yes, but it's worth noting that situations where you get into non-trivial dice-modding choices are much more common in 2.0 due to core effects that only work on a single die (force, calculate, evade, etc.) and most things having some sort of cost (tokens).

It's enough different that we decided to basically rewrite the core of the X-Wing dice calculator for 2.0, so while I agree on the general notion that the math is similar to 1.0, there are a lot of now-common situations where people will have to relearn how to do it optimally :)

So I swear I have asked this but I’m not sure I’ve ever figured it out. Do we have word from the players who have designed cards whether they will be for 1.0 or 2.0 and if we should expect to see them in the conversion kit?

Didn't we see Vader's cost in an app preview or something?

Defenders at 67 points would allow 66 points of 3rd ship. My guess is that gives you the Grand Inquisitor, but not Fel. A Support Reaper/Lambda, or a pair of TIE Fighters all seem very interesting in that slot, though. Anything to help make you maximize the action disparity between the lists.

Double post.

Somebody knows.

Man, I hope it’s not 67. That feels like a lazy way of preventing bringing three, with no balancing (like 21 point rookies). How many ps1 tie fighters would you trade for a ps1 defender? Is three a pretty even fight? Then it should be somewhere in the 72 range.

I’m hoping you can’t fit much more points wise than an omega leader equivalent with two generic defenders.

Don't try to wiggle out of it now; we're *all* responsible for the bugs! :P

In all seriousness definitely lots of great help from Chris and Andrew - looking forward to posting the preliminary 2.0 version in the near future with the cards we know about.
