I've been thinking of 2 Wookiees + a friend, but it seems a bit much, even for this format.
Timewalk Asajj in a world without bombs, turrets, or munitions also has legs.
2 Expertise Tac + something Wookies + Snapshot R3A2 Ezra with Hera Crew (doesn't care about second arc)

They're missing a few things that I think are critical if they want to be the end all be all package for X-Wing, but I really hope they get there. They're doing all the things Sozin and I wanted to do way back in the day but never did.
What in particular is it missing? I know the dev and have worked with him for some other improvements so I might be able to sway some things possibly?

Tbh it's for the best.
1.0 Arvel is wonky because you want to capitalize on his ability with a 5+ dice weapon, but the only ones available are secondaries, so then you have to build him around your 1 trick pony so you're slapping wonky stuff like cool hand on him so you can net the focus token (from a Red action, which is already weird to try and pull off with the A-wing) the turn you bump.
Of course you can run stuff like Kyle, Jyn, Garven, Or for your non procket builds Dutch, etc. but then you're building a sand castle that's asking to fall apart.
The shuttle with coordinate I think opens him up a little more.
Of course you could always try some build focused around his primary, but I've never messed around with that.
He's always been janky, I'm glad that they gave him a soft update in 2.0. He may actually see some meta play now.
guys, how do we define skill floor here? I've seen both definitions being used, and it creates confusion. See this new thread
To raise skill floor, vell, Fly better, Git gud?

What Tabletop.TO is really missing is functions you don't really use unless you're in a massive tournament. And maybe I'm just not seeing these because I have to look at it on my phone. Can't access at work.
Mass add/remove. Think system open. Lots of people drop from these events when they realize they are eliminated. Also, those same people then jump into the side tournament and are given wins up to the point they are added.
Tournament dependencies for a day 2 format. You want to limit down to a subset of players but still have stats effected by day 1. If TTT does that, I haven't seen it.
Dropping players from the match result entry panel. In a massive event it is easier to just hit a checkbox and move on than trying to save all the match slips for people who drop and removing them later.
Are they having issues with duplicate matches? I just did a mock tournament with 4 players. On round 4 it didn't give me any matches.
And maybe it's just that I don't know how to do it in TTT. I haven't toyed with it a whole lot. Maybe over the next couple weeks I'll give it a more in depth analysis and see if we can get a list of functions I've been asked for that they are missing.

Ezra low wulf.
You can probably drop pred off Ezra in this format. It was for eeking a little damage out, but mostly for missing ghosts to double stress them. We also fiddled with pred Rey on wulf but found we were too aggressive and not getting enough Rey tokens.
Maker of OG FSR made top 16 in Houston regional with this list.

I tried something similar when I insisted I should fly my U-wing at least once. The U-wing did not contribute significantly, a bid would have had a very similar result. I also had a list with the attack shuttle Ezra with TLT, but it doesn't work in this format. I like the bug idea!

Wedge a b wing a rookie and dutch. I didnt start winning till i started playing soontir 2 ties and kath, because it turns out soontir is really easy to fly.

Is soontir an ace?
I wouldn't know because i've never seen that definition...

But rebel bias makes wedge better than soontir! Bulleseye wedge when?

So, in 2.0......
Can you (as an A-wing) white boost into a red boost?....as in, can you repeat the same actions multiple times?!?
I'd love it if that were the case in 2.0.....
Always felt like it was an unnecessary constraint of 1.0, which was intentionally broken at times by cards like Recon Specialist and Weapons Engineer.

Oh no, not that garbage thread again.
Let it die. Kill it if you have to.

I'd assume no- otherwise Vader could barrel roll 4 times in a turn.

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if that was the intent..... That Vader is just plain amazing and awesome, and could do verge-impossible things in his starfighter (providing the player wants to use all his force charges to accomplish said insanity).
The skill floor is the skills neccesary to play in a tournament, regardless of performance. I know a few people who haven't crossed this yet. Examples of what these people do is not remember triggers, go a whole game without using some of their upgrade cards because they can't build their own list and had someone build it for them, and ask their opponent basic rules like how many dice they get to roll and how many hits their ships have left.
Skill ceiling is when you reach that point where you lose a game and realize that there was literally nothing you could've done to win. You lost before the game started.
I'm hopeful for 2.0 because the floor is lowering, with more things being self-explanatory with the card wording being simpler, and then the ceiling is raising becuase there's more luck, more things to think about like mobile arcs and bullseye arcs and no slop in barrel rolls and few perfect-information triggers.
Hey everyone! I missed it! A couple days ago, we passed up Three Word Story! Now there's only two threads bigger than this one!

I entirely disagree (and noted so in that thread, just above your reply).
In my view, the ceilings and floors should be about the lists themselves, with the player's skill as a force multiplier. It makes no sense to talk about ceilings and floors in player skills since a) everyone is bad at this game, and b) no one thinks they're bad at this game. It gives a range of what a list can do, depending on how not terrible you are at this game.
Other factors come into play too. Like giving a turret list to my son ends in tears, since he will still insist on keeping arcs on target, so I just gave up trying to convince him he can kite or run away while shooting. If he'd listen to me, he'd know that 2e was made for him, but he's still angry that they dared mess with the game.

The tippet roll!
Sometimes I just don't want to respond because I don't want anymore warning points.
But that sounds like the opposite of a chuck roll.
Anybody here heading to the euros?
