I have access to nice printers, cardstock, fancy shiny sprays that work on paper, etc.

If I could just get my hands on the little die that you use to cut out the cards in the same size and shape each time, I could just print my own.

Bombs and turrets are really stupid in 1.0. Glad they've changed.

Also funny how many aces players get triggered when I tell them aces might end up being easy mode in 2.0, and turrets might legitimately be harder to play because there's more arcs to think about and more possible moves and stuff.

Turret and bomb players are the most obnoxious to fly against, but ace players have the most pretentious and thin-skinned attitude.

If my ace list loses its the other players fault and couldnt possibly be related to the fact that I boosted a tokenless Inquisitor in front of 5 ships at range 1 because I trust my dice. I think you will find in the end that it is the low/mid-ps generic player that is the source of the most pure salt.

It seems like, from the hints they've been dropping, aces are going to be significantly more expensive than generics. I think when 2.0 starts out it's going to be generic-wing for awhile.

I think most existing ace players have absolutely ZERO idea how to fight more than 3 other arcs.

Member when a couple players used QD and 3 Harpoon gunboats? It wasnt just the tower defense players that lost their minds.

It was also the ace players that have been been conditioned only to solve bomb avoidence, range control, and ghost/fenn triangle or 180 blind spots for the past 12 months.

I fully expect to hear some complaints about 5x T65s in a few weeks. And it wont be just because they killed Dash once or twice.

The secret is to make a jousty list that doesn't look like it is very jousty to those that don't do math. This produces magical Krayt Mind Control Rays© that force your opponents to joust you! There's literally nothing that they can do about it!

I did my pile-o-coins back in wave 7/8/9, using 5x Omega Squadron Pilots with Crack Shot and Weapons guidance, farming up the Jumps and bad ace players.

It's only 5 TIES, and there's no Howlrunner, so it can't hit as hard, right? There's no way that they can eat a Whisper alive in one turn, or **** that Poe up. They don't even have any rerolls!

It's definitely not a Crackswarm that's almost as efficient, more total health, and drastically better late-game effectiveness.

I got my (well, technically yours now since you bought them) Regional dice with 2 HLC Crack Rhos and QD- There's no way that they can delete a Fenn Rau that has Autothrusters up! It can't be done, aside from the times where it did!

This is ridiculously effective in swiss, and then you get stomped after or near the cut. But its for sure a consistent way to crush the salt mines.

I still think the best advice I ever heard on a krayt cast about tournaments was something like "Just bring a thing that jousts gud everyone else will just joust you anyway"

I mean, that's pretty much what I said, 200 pages ago. I used the power of MATH to become King of the Salt Mines, with my only swiss loss being against someone else who posted in the thread- we decided to pull an Adepticon Final for a lunch break after 30 minutes. I wasn't going to fight him over a handful of Mov.

I absolutely agree with you. And it's why I regret not taking the list I should have taken to Calgary Regionals, maybe I could have broken top 16, or even top 8 if I played to my strengths as a player building incredibly jousty lists that don't look it when you see them the first time. If I didn't play "the meta" as I did maybe I would have done better than 25. In fact, my performance with my 'should have been' list since has shown that I could have done a heck of a lot better had I trusted my gut and skills in this game. It's funny, I have developed a reputation for having crazy synergies and janky combos locally... but a long period of time I also started loosing a lot. I started in wave 7, started figuring out my playstyle by wave 9, and wave 10 really started to do some damage. Wave 10 I took second place twice and did a lot of damage with.. Jess, 2 Awings and Jan Ors. Got me a coin with it. :) Unfortunately wave 11 killed that list hard! My new list, Jan/Wedge/Norra has been a powerhouse! 2 top 4 finishes, a fifth place, and I've beaten every meta list with it since, by solid players ( @LagJanson can confirm how dangerous Bryson is with Nym/Miranda) because they "don't believe me". I've been flying it almost exclusively since January. I love it.

Kylo and 2 boats (VI/FCS Kylo and Deadeye LRS harpoon boatS) vs trip defenders (loss), 4 Tie TLT (win), Corran Miranda (win), tie swarm (incredibly close loss at time that I could have prevented easily), 4 boats (losS), and thug life (win) was what I ended up with in Regionals. I hate flying imperials. so not like me.

I think thats the beauty of my lists, they are very jousty, and one player constantly says to people I've never played before "don't joust him! It's a mistake, you will be wrong" and I just smile and laugh. I'm not an amazing x-wing player, in fact I think I'm far from it. I just know what I'm good at and what i'm not. And thats where the mind games come into play. I mean look at, Wedge with Expertise, Flight Assist, and IA. Norra with VI, Rey, title, Flight Assist, and Jan Ors with Adapt, TLT, and Nein Numb. (now with Moldy Crow thanks to Saw's Renegades). 3 flimsy ships. When I first fielded it and setup for the joust people always thought it was an easy win. Until I deleted whatever I wanted in the first pass. Wedge for QD is an amazing trade, Jan and Norra can take down the rest. Sure, there are bad matchups. But I will force you to joust me, and you will cry. If you don't joust me, I'll chase you down (Because I can) and you will cry! Unless you got Rac/Inquisitor.... f me I hate that matchup. (1/3)

Thanks for the dice, they haven't let me down yet! I don't know why I submitted such a long reply to this... I'm just proud of where i've come as a player, especially in the past 6 months with a list I fully enjoy that is arguably as X-Wing as it can get in the 1.0 space?
