Well if you want WW-2 action there’s War thunder... but if you want something more modern, you’re out of luck until ace combat 7 drops.

The best ones still have real world fighter pilots still playing them.
Theres a special level of "rekt" , when you get hosed by some random dude and find out later they flew in "such and such " conflict.
Old timers are playing aces high (ww2)
And some national guard guys are on falcon 4.0 still.

Falcon 4 is as fun as a 360 page instruction booklet can get.
When every button in your cockpit view is clickable and works you need the entire first 40 pages of that book to get the thing warmed up and off the ground.
Still...if you spend a few days on that, you can be cartwheeling to your doom for unknown reasons immediately after take off.which actually is a fun challenge.

Are you talking about the old Falcon 4.0 or is there a newer remake?
FFG is so bad at rules clarifications. I have no idea what kinds of cards are legal for reload.

I used to play Falcon 3.0 back in the dark ages. I was not aware there was a 4. I'll have to check it out.

Next time out you should have a random person who has never played X-Wing fight a swarm with Wedge & Dash+Luke Crew. I dont think Dash will be all that great in 2.0 but it would be interesting to see how it plays out.

I feel like you have to assume that it will be in the late 40s (in 1st Edition money). A HLC Fringer is 42 base cost as it is, and this one doesn't have a true bubble.
It's also not a true turret, gives up range 3 defense bonus, and they made the barrel roll a stressful action. Will be interesting how it prices out.
