Content Booster: Winning 1.0 games using 1.0 lists intentionally adjusted to be "bad" like a 2.0 list with self imposed 2.0 oriented action restrictions against 1.0 degenerate lists is fun and worth doing for academic reasons now that 1.0 doesnt matter?

I think you're better off just playing the 1.5 format thats out there. Its definitely useful to start imposing those action restrictions on yourself though.

Real response though. I agree. Its certainly less frustrating and more accurate to the 2.0 experience. Theres only so "good" i want to get at approaching Rebel Formations from 3 angles and out of Fenn or Ezras arc and with the correkt ship in mirandas poon arc. Approching the 1.0 stuff is almost easier in a weird way?
But simple stuff like holding yourself to the new action rules or restricting boosts to 3+ speed, and not token stacking. Im actually sorta enjoying even losing this way. It feels like the loss is accomplishing something from an earned experience type view point.
Its time to begin the 2.0 git gud journey you guys talked about.

Im honestly still our until 2.0.
MAYBE if they do a "burn it all down" 1.5 FAQ, but even then, I doubt it.

They will almost certainly leave 1.0 with a "final salvo" FAQ.
They did the same for the LCG.

I just want a ******* FAQpocalypse TBH. Nerf most of the game, whatever. Make the only legal pilots generic Punishers and E-wings, I don't care.
I just don't want to go to Store Champs and see the stuff I was seeing at the one time I went to League since 2.0 was announced.
I saw 8-10 other players, and only the following ships distributed among them. Lancer, YV-666, Wookiees, Yt-2400, Yt-1300, T-70, K-wing, Sheathopede.
Triple digit numbers of wookiees between them.
That makes me want to not wear my seatbelt on the way to the store out of the hope that I die on my way there and don't have to play.

I don't believe you
The most dissapointing thing about 2nd Edition is those Wookie tree turrets. They still have 3 attack and so much health. They are suppossed to be made out of wood and sap.

Double, triple, whatever.
Also, I think FFG cucked Nand.
He got to design a card. He made targeting scrambler.
A card that is only usable on a palp shuttle, and may be worse than Collision Detector, in the same wave as a better palp carrier, and ~2 months before they reboot the game. Strong.

What do you guys think about i6 spamming (i.e. the "PS11 or GTFO" meta propagating to 2.0)?
I was thinking about Hera, because she has the best repositioning/ace ability in the game, yet despite always being referred to as the best pilot in the whole Rebels show (in which Wedge shows up), she's only i5. So she can get out-initiative-ed. Boba's in the same boat: massive reposition, but not i6.
So will either pilot see play? Because all three factions can build an i6 aces NPE. Han/Wedge/Fenn for the Rebels, Vader/Soontir/Shuttle for the Imperials, and Dengar/Fenn for Scum. Is that the new meta?
seems legit.
and you can't just go to a bigger number like you did in 1.0.
Welcome to the age of Bid Chicken

I think there are a few things working against this:
1.) Luke. If people flee to low efficiency high Initiative, Luke becomes really good.
2.) Massed jousting power. Blocking is going to be super important, and 4-6 ship lists are going to be able to drop a ton of firepower and prevent actions. Generic jousters seem to be the only shops that didn't get worse, and all the changes are slanted toward them.
Also remember, repositioning is more limited for all of those high Initiative ships. Han has Boost only (same as before), Dash has BR only (no chance to get Upgrade to expand options), Wedge and Vader are stuck with Barrel Roll but for a couple uses of Afterburners, and blocking terrifies them. Fel can't get close to the defense he used to have.

In all fairness, bullseye only passive mods means the Wookiee turret matters a whole lot less.

Can they barrel roll now?

I was thinking the exact same thing. I was thinking that Wookies are worse, with 1 less hit point and worse reinforce, but the I remembered Expertise was gone and was a happy camper.

For me the main reason im not worried about any of the ships they spoiled is that I get the impression that everything takes damage now?

My instinct is that a red cuck-roll™️ is pretty bad, but I'm an idiot so who knows.

This is the same thing I’m kind of wondering about interceptors. They have one of the coolest in built-in abilities but it’s significantly more useful if they are of high initiative,
Interesting side note is that Initiative is purposely not Pilot Skill, a combination of pilot and ship, not just about the pilots, so Hera might be initiative 6 in another ship (like an A-wing).
