You are responsible for communicating with your opponent. They shouldn't have to ask you for basic, public information that you are supposed to make easy for them to find out. If your game store has limited space, use a corner of the frickin' mat like you're a filthy 40K player.

Better communication leads to better games and a happier community. Don't be the problem.

It is easy for them to find out. If they ask or express confusion, I give them my cards before the game starts. I also tell them my list at the start of the game. I just keep it in the sleeve most of the time as

- 90%+ of people know what my **** does

- it saves on packing/unpacking time.

Eh, not really in my opinion. It is still a game of complete information just like chess - the board state in poker is actually not 100% known. You will always know if you are winning in X-Wing.

I will say that the moment when you both set your dials and are about to start flipping is exhilarating.

Take a normal sized 9 cards sleeve and cut it into three rows. You now have sleeves for 3 pilots with up to 6 upgrades each. Easy install, easy cleanup, and your cards don't get messed up!
