Yep, I'll be there Friday and Saturday. I'm playing X-wing, will have a beard, green backpack, and a list with at least two Silencers.

I'd still just show up day of with a generic ticket or whatever - last year there were like 12 slots and we ended up with like 30 people.

I'll be at gencon but the only X-Wing I'll play is 2.0 if we can manage it.

Otherwise it's wholesome games like IA, Arkham Horror LCG, Lord of the Rings LCG, and Loopin Chewie.

I kept looking for exhibition 2.0 from FFG but still nothing. I should maybe start a complaint thread bemoaning the death of X-Wing because of it...

I've got some extra time during the day... but I'll need to make sure I leave some gaps to watch the table in the vendor's hall... It kinda pays for the trip, but I do try my best to put as little time at it as possible...

Has there been any confirmation that they'll have the conversion kits along with the core set at Gencon? I've had the expectation of only Core set until I hear actual confirmation of the kits being at Gencon.

That's an awesome idea. Get 10 people and it's a $5 buy in. Roughly 4 ships a person and it's a way to maybe round out some of the missing pieces you need on the cheap. Even if your list sucks, $5 for 3-6 rounds of entertaining X-wing is way better than $50 and no X-wing.

Er... I think the intent was to play by drafting the pre-built ships. Not necessarily keeping them...

Edit: And then I assumed incorrectly - that's awesome.

Yep, that. Or, 8 people, 3 kits is $18.75 a person, and there's ~33 ships in each kit, so ~12 ships per person. Not bad!

Both, really. You could draft to keep, or draft cube style or whatever.

Awesome idea! Will have to float that to the SoT guys and see if we want to do a similar format here in Central KY.
