My main hope is that they tone down the "free" dice modification stuff. That way if you do double reposition instead of assigning Tokens you are genuinely vulnerable.

i.e. Soontir and Jake and boost barrel roll all they want...but if they do it to much pop the first time a mistake is made.

It looks like it's going that route. Advanced Targeting computer is now "roll an additional die" and not auto-add a crit.

FCS is no longer re-roll everything, it's re-roll one and keep the TL. It's basically a system upgrade version of Predator.

That sounds absolutely awesome. I am so glad I have used basically nothing but Vader since I started playing a year ago. Can't wait to use the force and stuff.

Can you imagine being able to run Vader + Soontir + Tie Reaper effectively in 2.0? Or even Vader + Inquisitor + Gunboat?

That sounds 100% like the game I want to play. A Sith can dream.

Yup. I've been telling people to calm the **** down and let the developers get content released and into our hands. Then we as a community come back together and work with each other to trade into factions that we want to continue with. I honestly don't see myself following *both* Empire and FO. Or both the Resistance and the Rebels. I'll pick one. And then trade ships to round out what I need. I don't think the "completionist" mentally is going to work well going forward. Between model costs, the tightening of faction identity and less cross faction upgrades in each expansion, buying multiple copies of every ship each wave to chase cards will be less of a thing.

Trading is going to be big. I think I am going to stay all in because of it, and use my extra scum stuff to finance my rebels and imps. And yes, buying to chase cards won't be a thing, but what about buying to chase pretty models? Not disagreeing with the rest of your points but I think the completionist mentality will emerge fine in some people.

WEDGE ANTILLES HYPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sees your auto evade tie reaper, and says "But what if you didn't roll it?" Seriously, I am so excited for wedge to be useful.

Someone mentioned that pilots with the Force stat recover 1 Force Charge per round (we know Luke also recovers one when attacked). If that's true, it's going to be very powerful indeed, before you even consider the non-default uses of Force Charges. Imagine Luke rolling up, getting a TL + Force offensive mod, and using Force on defense. If he gets attacked, he could do that every round. Except, of course, the rounds he's not shooting because he's using R2-D2 to recover a shield.

You break it down and Luke's ability is almost unchanged. He had the ability to change one focus result to an evade automatically when defending. He now gets a force token which can be used to change one focus result to an evade. Sure, he can keep the token and use it for attack anyway... Bit of a buff for Luke.

I'd panic more if I understood what I was reading... As it is, I'll just stare at this in confusion.

I agree

Apparently it translates to Luke lets you spend a charge to rotate your arc at the start of engagement.

Which, assuming he recharges his force at the end of every round, he can do that every round. He's on any turret ship and gets perfect information on where to shoot.

G'dang it FFG

Yeah, you do recharge. That's what the little arrow is supposed to signify...recharge at the end of the round. They've mentioned it in streams, too.

typos are dumb

I'd like to note that in those alt-language releases, the Ghost name appears to end in "OUCH"

Yeah... I thought the little lightning bolts, not that pretty purple flowery tokens. That's pretty terrible.

I don't see it as that big of a problem. If we want turret gunnery to have a real effect on the game by adding mobile arcs, there should be very skilled gunners that increase the targeting efficacy of said guns. I kinda like it actually, very thematic for Luke crew.

They'll probably just have to make him cost a lot.

If he costs something like he does now. I'm okay with that. 14 point skill tax seems fair.

Well, short of Palp, Luke crew was the second most expensive crew option. Plus if you have him as crew, you aren't getting him as a pilot. We don't know of other force sensitive Rebellion pilots at this time.

He's an interesting, versatile crew. He gives you a Force every turn and the option to spend it to fix your turret facing that you screwed up because you got arc dodged. ;)

You can still force your opponent to make choices. Land one shop in the front/rear arc and the other in a side arc and he has to choose where he’s going to point the guns. That’s still better than the current situation, and with enough skill you can vary ranges to make concentrating fire the sub-optimal choice. That looks like genuine counter play to me.

One thing I've noticed through all of these spoilers is that I have yet to see an ability that allows you to flat out change a blank result to something useful (aside from New Evade).

For example, the Polish spoiler for Palpatine (crew) has him generating 1 force token for his ship per turn and then allowing you to spend that force token to benefit any of your ships. So you get Focus Lite to spend as you want rather than a guaranteed hit/crit.
