It will slow progress... but since I can't do discord during the day, maybe I should just continue to add a lonely post here daily should everything go dark. You know, something to scare the rats away, or something...

Edit: Oh jeez, Wedge and Co. just got real... 30 points for Wedge, Flight Assist Astro, Integrated Astro, Renegade Refit, Servo Motors and Predator... I want to put that on the map tonight. I don't see myself flipping the wings much, but being able to do talon rolls and barrel rolls...

also, now this is correct: here's what lists in the cut look like, if you had to categorize them. Dash is a PWT for this.

Travis categorized the lists based on what the most turrety thing you had in the list was.

Secondary Turret > PWT > Not a Turret Wookies/Slaver/Asajj > Actual Arc

a) is the x axis dates? if so, why are you representing data by two week spans with 1 week overlapping?

b) by those numbers you've got it goes: secondary turret (38-45%) > Actual arc (32-26%) > PWT (14-16%) > 'not turret' (13-15%). so unless they're mislabeled, actual arcs is the second most represented of your categories.

1) 6 weeks periods, going up a week at a time.

2) Nope, it's properly labelled, but to be clear we're distinguishing between different variations of turrets here, just the breakdown of types of turrets can be interesting.

BTL-A4 is absolutely not common enough to make any dent in those numbers, right? Is there anything else that locks a turret?

I'm not sure there's a single BTL-A4 in the dataset honestly, I'll check later today.

There were 7 instances of BTL-A4 titles in our data since 1/22.

7 out of 620 cut lists.

58.5% Turret upgrades and PWTs, that's hideous. On the other hand, X-Wings got better, that'll be fun for casual games.

Not to be nitpicky, but I'd maybe put Dash in as a turret upgrade, since his turret is priced as a separate upgrade and ignores range bonuses.

I'm assuming ships like the /SF (not quite 180) are identified as actual arc ships?

For now, yeah. If we remove double arcs (*cough* Quickdraw *cough*), the "arc-ed' list gets smaller quite fast.

To the extent they're not in a list that already has a turret or 180, yes. I suspect that number is much lower (but non-zero).

Dash is a PWT on there, didn't seem like making his own his own category and it was closest?

I guess it's just a matter of opinion. The cannon becomes his only weapon, so it's like a primary there, but it has the added NPE effect that TLTs have of removing the range 3 bonus.

Also, I'd like to see what it looks like when aux arcs go into that "not turrets" category. Especially since I've always thought ARC-170s were just bigger X-Wings for people who don't know how to fly.

(actually I kinda love the ARC, but I do think aux arcs are significantly easier to fly).
