I've found that the most fun I have in this game is when my squad is moving first. There's this great feeling to "getting it right the first time". Using repositioning actions for speed and setup, not reaction.

Boy am I the opposite on that. Maybe that's because I don't get it right the first time very often.

Is anyone going to be bringing their Krayt Cup shot glass to the Indy regional this weekend? Let's do a warm-up shot in the parking lot

Fake news was to loud of a word.

Sounds like there is still general consensus that Kanan/Fenn isn't necessarily the next herald of the apocalypse though.

The list just doesn't pass my standard panic button decision tree of burn it all down questions:

"Does it contain Miranda? If Yes Panic & Burn It All Down. If No Git Gud."

For what it's worth, I absolutely think Kanan+ is a problem and meta threat/concern.

Yea...my first experience against Kanan/Biggs awhile back was a very significant one. Still remember that day.

Pretty sure it was actually the same day I started using Kylo Crew or Palp or Ordinance in almost every list.

Its basically one of the "So Thats How Its Gonna Be" lists.

Still lets reference the X-Wing S.A.L.T. Meta Threat Rating system.

pain-scale-chart.gif

0 = Empire Strikes Back Levels of Salt

11 = Attack of the Clones Levels of Salt

Are we closer to S.A.L.T. Meta Threat Level 0 or S.A.L.T. Meta Threat Level 10?

I think the salt level is dependent on your local meta, and the local players. For example, the best player in my area always flies Vader, while the most meta player is garbage at the game. As a result, while the salt experienced by me against some of the garbage player lists is huge (because sometimes they act like skill is relevant for them) it also means that I really did mess up enough to lose, and salt is down. The one exception however, was our local cheater, who could never fly something excellent, but always be cheating, and would make you super salty. Not because you lost, but because you lost because they actually cheated.

Also, Krayts on Top.

I conclusion, we are at salt level Crait. To reach this, I read the thread about writing things on hands and realized that oh my god are X-wing players the saltiest and angriest miniature gaming community I have encountered. I might just have to go play Armada now.

Oh, did that blow up? I was mildly disappointed by it when it started and it hadn't immediately become a train wreck.

Anakin & Padme = less cringy than Finn & Rose
Battle of Geonosis = better than "battle" of Crait
Obi Wan vs Jango = better than anything Poe did, ever
Attack of the Clones > The Least Jedi

Grumpy Luke and a fresh mug of green titsqueeze.

Plus one point for least jedi.

I'll give you that. Luke's milk was one of the most palatable parts of the film.

It did. I normally don't venture into the main X-wing forums, but when I do, I wonder if we need to form a cartel to kill certain threads before they begin.

Just post pictures of breakfast. Its fine. Dumpster Fires are part of the forums rustic charm.

And always remember if things get a little to salty out there you can just retreat to this wonderful peaceful place.

Its not the salt. I can handle the salt. Salt is no issue to me. the issue is people be salty at the wrong things. "Oh, Nym/Miranda is tearing up the game? Okay. People are writing on their hands? BURN IT ALL DOWN!!!"

I envy your restraint. I venture in too frequently and then find myself searching for daylight amidst the darkness.

It didn't blow up. There's just a couple of people staking out an absurd claim. (Hint: Any time -- and I mean any time -- someone says something like, "The rules are the rules," they're being absurd.) Then there are a couple of people reasonably trying to reach the Absurd. Then there are a couple of slightly less reasonable people taking minor drive-by swipes. But it definitely didn't "blow up," which is honestly a little encouraging.

No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow.

I' making a Michael Jackson glove out of cardboard shield tokens and a picture of Ray charles.

I agree. What’s the regional to watch? Altalnta? Looks like London has internet access problems.

Edit: and Atlanta has connectivity problems. Is Dion in Indiana?
