Are you one of the authors/developers on this project (and not "just" a playtester)? That would be cool...

Jeebus, I wish I was...maybe someday.

No, I'm a playtester. And I was Sam's inspiration to develop this product by getting him at my table for my Fallout: Edge of the Wasteland hack, back in March of 2016.

I am itching for all the podcast talk about this...

The question is, will FFG do a source book for Runebound universe, after all they own the IP and would be a good way to flesh out the whole history of Terrinoth.

Hey, that's still awesome

I was wondering if that may have been the case, the "weird war" theme just sang Fallout to me.

I'm very curious to see how character creation works, Star Wars took a long time to really have Specialist character options that covered the full gambit. I wonder how this system will spread itself out. Will supplements introduce new careers, or just build on the core ones?

Will FFG keep this system lite to allow fully system immersed core books later on? Or will we get large setting books (eg L5R?) with supplements for the supplement (eg Clan books)?

This system seems to be something FFG could develop for almost indefinitely, there's no obvious end to the material that could be produced... it could even be licensed to other companies now that it's vanilla. Then there is the PDF, please please please let there be a PDF of the core book at least.

I have no doubt that all game setting owed by FFG will get a setting book

EEeeeehhhh...not really. Weird War is like their Tannhauser setting; think world wars with magic, the X-Files, and occult weirdness thrown in.

Huh, fair enough, so a bit like Arkam Horror? Well that just means they need a post apocalypse series of theme books then doesn't it!

Now that I've thoroughly consumed ICRPG, this is a fortuitous announcement for me. As much as I love Star Wars (hey, don't look at me like that. I even like TPM) I am pleased to have the system become setting agnostic, with some improvements. I am highly interested to see where this goes!

Hey, when Cubical 7 release their new Warhammer Fantasy RPG using d100's at least I can now homebrew my own NDS WFRP 4.5! That's definitely a bonus

I am really looking forward to this coming out. I've been wanting to do a Fantasy game, and looking for the right system for months. I've never found anything I like as well as the Star Wars RPG. It's got just the right combination of crunch and narrative story telling for me. I guess I just have to hold out for another six months.

I know some don't like the "strange dice" but I think their great. Sure you might need a cheat sheet to help out for a few sessions, but after a while it becomes second nature. Well worth the mild learning curve.

So will the dice from Genesys be compatible with Eote? The same pattern on the dice making them interchangable?

DarthGM, is you GM Phil?

If so, I never listen.

This announcement is amazing. Hope they do their (probable) Legend of the Five Rings source book early on!

Yes he is.

Soooo getting this.

I'd been wanting to do a modern day adaptation of this because Covert Ops was not narrative dice and Spycraft 3.0 is still delivering to a deadline that's basically the horizon - forever out of reach.

But they were also not the narrative dice system.

Near as I can see though the dice look identical to the SWRPG dice, albeit with the adjusted symbols, so you can probably get away with using those in a pinch.

Nice work FFG, a big fan just became a much bigger one.

Sweet.

And totally hacking this for a girl genius style setting.

Just yesterday, I was thinking, "it's too bad FFG doesn't have a setting neutral rpg." This is fantastic news!

I was already building my own fantasy setting version of the star wars game now I do not have to finish just have to work on the world. so you are saying you did a fallout version awesome!!!!

I've been kicking around some ideas about trying to work out a transformers based RPG system, and I haven't found a system I like more than the Narrative Dice system. This is great timing, and I will have to wait to see more.

Well, this will make that golden age of piracy idea I had a lot easier. Also, hopefully a good omen for an L5R RPG based on this system.

I did. It's sort of the genesis of Genesys. ;)

I'll have the Theme ready to share as soon as the book is available to the public.

I had done the same back in the earlier d20 days. More recently I have actually been doing an adaption of L5R for my Transformers home brew. Maybe some day I will finish.

I always thought the Wheel of Time would map well to the NDS. With some modifications I think the Force die system could make for a great adaptation of channeling magic. I'm curious to see the new magic system in Genesys.

I would have killed to platest this. I own every FFG Star Wars book. I have duplicates of the core books. I even bought the begainer games for the dice and gm screens. And when warhammer went on sale I bought a bunch because some said it was close to FFGSW.
