I have a good amount of store credit from trading in some Magic cards at a local shop that happens to carry tons of board games. I have been looking at Netrunner for several years now. The idea behind the game seems very interesting. The fact that it's not a TCG/CCG where people could get cards that could win games and be well out of your price range is a nice change from MTG.

That said, while there are occasional Netrunner tournaments (I believe sanctioned) at that gaming store, I don't think there are a lot of people who play. And, the people I know that enjoy playing boxed/board/card games tend to enjoy the simpler games (and I can't blame them).

But, the tug toward Netrunner is still there. I definitely have the credit to be able to buy it as well as another LCG-like game I want and a few expansions for both.

What do you all think? Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.
