What to buy next?

By JarJarBot, in Star Wars: Armada

Hi everyone! I've recently got back to purchasing and playing armada and as of right now I have a few friends who play with me but we use my ships and what not. Im going to list what I have and wanted to know what I should buy next to even out my two sides. I've been eyeballing some imperial items right; first fighter pack, second demolisher, light carrier, interdictor, but what are your thoughts?

Have:

Core

Extra die and maneuver tool

ISD

Demolisher

Imp Fighters II

Liberty

Mc30c x2

Home One

Neb B

Rebel Fighters I

Assault Frigate

Imperial light cruiser. One of each flotilla. Both wave 6 expansions. Enjoy.

You've got a great lot of ships, love it! If you want to play tourneys around here, you'd need a butt ton of flotillas and fighter/bombers. I think @TallGiraffe is correct; I even grabbed a pair of Light Cruisers, they're fun!

Yea. 2 Light cruisers is not a bad option. Also add in a raider for that cheap corvette type the imperials need. It isn't the toughest ship and needs to get close to dish out damage, but it is by far the most efficient fly swatter and can become a pocket battleship at times. Especially with the External Racks upgrade from the Hammerhead expansion.

Also @JarJarBotI love how you refer the Gladiator as Demolisher.

If I had a level of Priority @JarJarBot

High Priority

2x Light Cruisers (GREAT titles and upgrades. Plus you get Jerry! The ship provides a long range flanker the imps really need! Get 2 for more benefits cause your gonna love em flanking an ISD)

One of Each Flotillas (Cheap and useful support.)

Imperial Squadron Pack I (Lots of really useful stuff in here.

Wave 6 Expansions (Buffs Imperial squadrons and has some nice upgrades for your Victory/s. Hammerheads are cheap and look really fun to fly into combat.)

Medium Priority

CR-90 expansion (Titles and Mothma plus a couple upgrades!)

Raider (Smoll torpedo boat and fly squatter. Star Wars Battlefront 2 Approved!)

Victory expansion (I would put it lower, yet some of the upgrades in it and wave 5/6 upgrades bumps it up a grade)

Correllian Conflict (New objectives and squadron cards for the existing squadron pack Is! Get your Imperial Squadron Pack I first)

Low Priority

Rogues and Villians (Would be higher, but I rarely see more than just the Intel ships in this one)

Rebel Squadron Pack 2 (VCXs are fun and Ewings are okay. Z-95s cheap squadron and Lancers are kinda ehhhhh.)

Interdictor Expansion (Some useful cards in it, however is more for the Casual scene and kinda over costed. Still fun to run from time to time though)

Pelta Frigate (Has a few upgrade cards and a neat commander. Ship itself is a little lackluster as I feel it is only there to use Fleet Command cards it comes with. Still fun and thematic though)

2nd Raider (Having 2 is pretty fun to run)

2nd flotilla for each faction (More cheap stuff to run and support your ships)

Though honestly all of this is up to you. But here is my priority list. Feel free to check out @geek19 along with @Snipafist(I am hoping I am sourcing this right) http://cannotgetyourshipout.blogspot.com/

Or head over to http://xwingtactics.blogspot.com/ run by @BiggsIRL and @Truthiness (Again. Hope I am getting my **** right)

Both of these sites are full of information and opinions on the expansions. I recommend them both for a different perspective.

They only allow me to like this once, so here's a few more: 'like' 'like' 'like'. :)

I would add that if you are playing primarily or only casually, an alternative order is to get whatever you think is/looks nice. That way you are always flying the stuff you like to see on the table, which leads to some enjoyable experiences. Then, as you grow used to playing, you can branch out into the less preferable options for diversity's sake.

Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone! And I have no idea why I'm calling Gladiators Demolishers, hahah.

It's ok, we all do it. The title is ubiquitous.
