Getting started painting 2 boxed sets. My younger sons (12 & 9) have decided to have a go at some of the models too.

First up are my first unit of reanimate archers, the boys gravitated to the big models, so these are all my work. Stuck with the "traditional" purple for this unit.

My 9 year old and I have both finished our Rune Golems. His is on the right, he surprised me with just how good a job he did.

a 9yr old did that? Impressive....

He's got a really steady hand for his age! Did you teach him his basics? If so, very good job. He's clearly taken to the lessons well.

Thanks all, he's been painting dad's minis occasionally for years, but something certainly clicked on this one. The only guidance I gave him was a rundown on how to do the basing, so it would match the ones I was doing.

I'm going to have to figure out how to produce smaller picture files that still look ok, I didn't realize the size limit ran across all my posts....looks like I'll need to edit the first two to make room for more.

Use something like photobucket. No issues then

That's it, the gauntlet has been thrown down. I'm gonna have to let my 7- and 5-year old girls take a shot at my miniatures. ... or maybe not.

12 year old and I have finished our carrion lancers. Mine is on the left.

I've also finished up some more archers - burgundy this time, and a necromancer.

I love those archers. They have a deep woods, dark feel that is simply lovely.
