We had the torps as listed but yeah it'd probably make more sense to switch them in the future.

Might not be as clear cut: Definitly more expected hits, but you want to shoot the Plasmas first and with them on Wedge who needs Cracken setup that isn't possible. Furthermore now you can shoot Plasmas, Homing, and then switch target if the original one is down. You lose quite a bit of flexibility for the extra hits.

We brainstormed this list together and we're surprised it did so well. I think we're calling it "The Revenge of Wave 3" or something like that:
Wedge Antilles: Adaptability, Proton Torpedoes, R2-D2, Guidance Chips
Horton Salm: Veteran Instincts, R2-D6, Twin Laser Turret, Plasma Torpedoes, Extra Munitions, Guidance Chips
Airen Cracken: Veteran Instincts, Homing Missiles, Guidance Chips
Kudos to your friend. 3 ships with no repositioning take amazing skill to fly well, even at high PS. He must have set up the alpha perfectly every single time to even have the chance. Amazing work!

That's true too. When I came up with the list my original thought was that Horton's natural ability + Chips would be enough modification for the Plasma torps. Then you could stick Airen next to Wedge for an extra Focus on his Proton. In reality Airen's ability isn't necessary for the alpha. He's there as a cheap PS10 ordnance carrier. However my friend did find him invaluable sitting next to Wedge after the alpha. Having a Focus + TL Wedge firing at your every round is terrifying.
True...there is a lot to this list! I will definitly try to understand it better and then explore some options (like other astromechs for Wedge, for whom R2 can be quite the waste if he goes down first). Thanks a lot for sharing it and your thoughts, this is something I can see myself play a lot!

I flew this list against a Crack/Black w/ Howlrunner swarm last night (lost, due to poor planning and flying on my part) and a Doomshuttle backed up by two Imperial Firesprays both w/gunner ( Won this one, but it was a great game). Fun was had. I am not a good enough pilot to pull this list off in a tournament though.

That's a really interesting variant on four-ship rebels. Roark can boost Braylen up to PS 12 to stress an enemy Expertise user before they return fire, or Rex to suppress them, or Jess if you want your best chance to PS kill something that's already damaged.

I had a similar idea with Roark, Rex, Biggs and a Stresshog.
If I ever buy Sabine's TIE I might give it a go.
I specifically designed my list to not include Miranda or Biggs and called it Not Biggs Not Miranda.
I went 8 and 0 and had 900 MoV out of 1000 and continued that into the cut only losing 56 more points of MoV (out of 600). I only tabled one opponent and lost 2 ships in only 1 game so I average 1 ship a game.

Your forgetting that Braylen is focused with a reroll.
Sadly I'm not sure how this list will handle agressors and I think it's peaked for now.
Edited by DanathFrom the results here and on Listjuggler, I am NOT seeing Jumpmasters or Mindlink lists winning. Sure they will still be represented in the top8 or top4, but they are NOT WINNING . For over 3 months now I have seen the same thing at local tournaments.
- Stress ARC, Biggs, Rex, Jess and similar variants are very strong right now
- Quickdraw, Vessery, Omega Leader is well represented among top results
- Rey definitely shows up in top4 from time to time
The meta since the great nerfing is by far the best it's ever been.

Looks good to me, despite endless calls for further JM5K nerfing. Maybe I'll have to hit another tourney, soon?

How about that, there is only a single Jumpmaster (Dengar) in the top8 & it did NOT win. There is only a single Mindlink list & it did NOT win. Hopefully in a week or two the forums will stop complaining about Mindlink & Jumpmasters.

Mindlink list with a Jumpmaster won a Nova/krayt region tournament this weekend.
http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=3106
Also, this store championship in Poland this weekend was also won by a list with mindlink and a jumpmaster.
http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=3103
They may not always win, but they are almost always in or near a top cut in the highest level events.
Also, Utah has historically been a pretty traditional "anti-meta" region, so I wouldn't use those results as a calling card for what the game looks like across the board.

Is this U.S data only? Because my part of Europe is utterly saturated in Mindlink and Jumpmasters - Almost every regional and SC in Holland has been won by Mindlink or a list with a Jumpmaster. There are other lists around, for sure, but scum remains the dominant faction for sure. Last SC I went to I was the only Empire player in the top 16
Fundemonium - Rohnert Park, CA - Store Champs (24 players):
Winner: Daniel ________ (sorry, forgot your last name), flying:
Dengar: Attani Mindlink, K-4 Security Droid, R4 Agromech
Fenn: Attani Mindlink, Autothrusters, Concord Dawn Protector
Inaldra: Attani Mindlink, Light Scyk
Runner up: Me, Flying:
Eaden Vrill: smuggling compartment, anti-pursuit lasers, feedback array, operations specialist
Nien Nunb: snap shot, R3-a2, integrated astromech
Jess Pava: R2-D6, snap shot, integrated astromech
Rest of the top 8 included: kanan/garven dreis (autoblaster auto correct), Tie-D/Ryad/Backdraft, Old Fennaroo, triple t-65s (yes we were all surprised), PS 9 Scum alpha with Bosk/N'dru and a third wheel, dash/regen Poe, and I belive the final list was an attani build.
The finals was a rematch as we had met in Swiss where I beat him 100-0. Cool to be able to say I beat every list I played.

How do you fair with that list against heavy ordnance, particularly high PS alpha?

Any specific lists? Usually they use expertise which gets shut down by braylen at ps12 and then once stressed never get another shot. Haven't really seen more than 2 ships so pretty easy to shut them down and rex ruins shots too if they get another chance. Played a Kath and boba list m9 on bobas cluster missile and stress from braylen made it terrible. Same for Kath but no m9 on her alpha

Nothing really current, I guess. I've seen a double TIE s/f + Omega Leader list do really well with Homing missiles. How would you handle this list I've been working on?
My normal firing sequence would be Nym/Airen/Wedge.
