It's so good. You can punch and still have both tokens for defense, you can Target Lock and maximize offense and still have an Evade for defense, or you can spend your focus opportunistically to flip up damage cards.

That's going straight to the top of my "to try " list.

It's disgusting that a stealth device fits there too!

2 PS10's is pretty delicious as well. I'm going to try it with VI Sabaac to fit LWF on it though. Hell be the same PS as Rex so can still shoot first to try and strip tokens/Shields.

I love that this new Dengar mindlink list feeds itself stress, which is the "counter" to mindlink. Hopefully it's inevitable surge into popularity will help anyone who believes stress really inhibits mindlink anymore than it does any other build wakes up at this point haha.

I've been playing with mindlink lists for a long while. Stress definitely doesn't counter mindlink like rock beats scissors, but it does narrow my options in movements and actions.

Narrows dial options to be equivalent to the 3 pt upgrade PTL.

But also gives blocking protection, or even close to full dial options as long as just 1 ship de-stresses

So in other words, stress makes it somewhat balanced lol

Somewhat balanced but still better than a 3 pt card.

I was thinking more like majorly imbalanced compared to PTL.

3 x PTL = 9 pts

3 x AML = 3 pts

Both have perks, but id say AML's perks are actually better, with no guaranteed stress, and at 1/3 the cost

I actually think the best fix for mindlink would be for it to make you treat all hard turn maneuvers as white. On pretty much any ship besides the jumpmaster, protectorate or shadowcaster it's not an OP card, it's just really good on those 3 that can clear stress so easily. Take away the green turns i fyou use it and you level the playing field more (and give a slight buff to ships with red hards that take it when they turn white)

Correct. But this is what I was trying to point out- stress doesn't bother mindlink lists anymore than any other list, and in some cases, it's able to handle it even better as only one ship needs an action to give every ship an action (even ones who didn't clear their stress).

Think you meant to say treat turns as white.

I favor giving it a 1-3 range restriction along with disabling passing to stressed or overlapped ships.

I also favor doing something about jumpmasters as well too though, along with a number of other things, so no surprise there!

That's actually the best solution I've seen yet! If you meant white of course lol

Yes, yes I did.

I dont' mind a range restriction, but you can still daisy chain with that, especially at 1-3. It reallyonly stops sending a aship to the opposite side of the board to generate tokens.

If you make it so it won't pass tokens to stressed ships you just kill the card completely.

Jumpmasters definitely need a change a well, but they're harder..

For the millionth time, just getting a focus token doesn't mean stress doesn't matter.

Evade, boost, barrel roll, rotate arc, Gonk, etc. are actions too.

Attanni is only more resistant to stress than other lists if, and only if, you're goal is to get a focus token.

Attanni is much more vulnerable to stress if you want to do any action other than focus. Stress matters to Attanni a lot.

Blanket statements like "if one ship clears its stress, then the whole list gets actions" are misleading and just plain wrong. If one ship clears its stress, the whole list can get focus tokens. That's completely different.

So after talking to the Dragon's Hoard in Hackettstown NJ... They say they wont be holding a store championship because they dont want to hold it as an open tournament. They only want their regulars to be able to participate. Personally I think its an absurd stance but oh well. Strike it from the list and the map.....

That is silly. There's no reason you can't hold both an open official FFG-prize-supported Store Champs AND a private "Dragon's Hoard Invitational Tournament" or whatever you want to call it as two separate events on different days.

He didnt sound very "people friendly" on the phone. He was going on about "mercenaries" coming to his store and stealing the championship from one of his regulars. It's annoying because I know that some stores that WANTED to host a championship werent able to for whatever reason, and this joker is sitting on a tournament kit that will go to waste :/

Focus is "an action" (as opposed to no action), and that was the connotation I was using here, but that's not very clear in my post at all so I appreciate your reply.

Either way, being restrained to the most universally used action when bumping or failing to clear the stress as long as 1 of your ships does neither of those things, is at the very least equivalent to having your full action bar open at the risk of losing any action when stressed or bumped. This is debatable I'm sure though.
