Expertise definitely is performing better than expected. It is REALLY good.

Even with a stress weakness. Maybe all we need is more stress mechanics, lolol.

For my last store champ I had torkil and palob both with tacticians. If I get you at range 2 you're ps0 and stressed before you can use expertise!

You'll get me to PS0, but I have bigger issues if I'm letting a HWK get me in arc at range 2.

The thing that annoys me about QD is that every time I've had an attack on her that stastiscally should be likely to strip all her shields at once either my red dice fail or she has an awesome defensive roll.

Yeah, but that annoys me about every ship. I've had that annoyance about Decimators.

Got top 4 at a Store Championship in Utrecht (Netherlands) flying Quickdraw, Inquisitor and Backdraft at 99 points. Lost to Rick Porsious flying the current Heaver list and Charlie ter Horst with Parattani. My MOV was 2nd after swiss, list feels very competitive. Whilst Quickdraw was the centerpiece, Backdraft was probably man of the match in most games.

Did this list

Roark Garnet (19)
Twin Laser Turret (6)

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
R3-A2 (2)
BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Kanan Jarrus (38)
Fire-Control System (2)
Autoblaster Turret (2)
Finn (5)
Hera Syndulla (1)

Total: 99

have a good placement somewhere, yet? It is pretty popular in southern Germany as it can wreck Expertise with a PS12 Stresshog or just vomit up damage at PS12 with Chopper. I have seen 4 of it at an SC I attended (not in list juggler, unfortunately).

Generally not that hard when they have to fly toward you if they want arced shots. Add to that the fact that I usually stagger them (torkil with ion in front, palob with tlt behind) so if you get range 1 on one, the other probably has range 2. Then there's the blocker (sunny) to help. And the tractor beam if absolutely needed (and useful. Don't think I fired It this entire tournament).

The only time I failed to line up range how I wanted was the first match and was entirely bad flying on my part (and lost me the game)

Top 4 was rounded out by two Parattanni lists and a Rey/Jan.

My Asajj and Boba went 3-0 before their luck ran out with two straight losses, sadly...

Mana games, Eastbourne, UK.

Winner - Dale Cromwell, Countess Ryad (stealth, x7, PTL), Vessery (Stealth, X7, juke), Pure Sabbac (LWF, AA)

Runner up - Danny Strahl, Rear Admiral Chiraneau (VI, Saboteur, Kylo, Jerjerrod, Dauntless, EU), Lieutenant Dormitz (HCS, Palpatine)

Top four contained a triple Defender list and Ryad/Vessery/OL.

I made second place with this 2 weeks ago, in Grosseto Italy, losing the final against a very good player.... anyway the match ends with only his Biggs with 1 hull. He was playing Nand Torfs world's list.

miranda kanan ( 100 )

Kanan Jarrus — VCX-100 38
Fire-Control System 2
Autoblaster Turret 2
Plasma Torpedoes 3

Then yesterday i end up 18th on 19 players in Florence, with the very same list :(

*Updated

Went to Tampa for the SC at Armada Games on Saturday, it was a smaller event at only 15, and did a cut to top 8 which seemed weird but whatever. It was my first win after making the cut then getting wiped at a bunch of events so I'm pretty happy. I can't fill in much but I'll do what I can.

Max - 1st in Swiss at 4-0, final 2nd place

Rey
Finn
Kanan
Expertise
New MF Title
Engine Upgrade

Lothal Rebel
"Chopper"
Hera
Fire Control System

Myself - 3rd in Swiss at 3-1, final 1st

Quickdraw
Expertise
FCS
Lightweight Frame
SF Training
Pattern Analyzer

Col. Vessery
Twin Ion Engine Mk II
Veteran Instincts
TIE x/7

Omega Leader
Comms Relay
Juke

And I forget names from here on, sorry, it was a loooong day

6th in Swiss, lost to me in first round of the cut(this was actually a rematch of our 4th swiss round)

Boba Fett
Fearlessness
Latts
Engine Upgrade
Glitterstim

Asaj
Tactician
Burnout Slam
Some other things that I'm blanking on I think...

And I feel extra bad here because while I remember my opponent, and it was a good game, I can't for the life of me remember what he was playing or any other details. It's all dominated by rematching round 4, so that stuck out extra well, and the final. Sorry man, if you see this, and sorry I'm not more helpful.

My loss in Swiss was round 1 to Rex + Biggs + Braylen + Jess, by two points with just Omega Leader and Jess on the board at time, he went on to be on the bubble at 9th. My other swiss games were against a Dengar + Fen Rauu list(where Dengar and Quickdraw obliterated each other in spectacular fashion(which is to say he managed 8 natural hits+crits on 8 unmodified attack dice which I had to use all my mods to do the same)) and a triple K bomber list with a mix of Ion Bombs, cluster mines, seismic charges and proximity mines, two with Bombardier and one, obviously, with Sabine.

I like the list. Quickdraw is great, except the dial. Expertise got turned off for a good chunk of two games, but she still performed great. She either draws fire and dishes out extra damage early or people don't want to shoot her, which is fine too, her(especially with shields) and Omega Leader are both great to have around late. It seems pretty solid and it sounds like others are having success with similar lists. I guess Empire isn't completely dead post-Palpatine.

Grats on the win! I'd probably switch EPTs on Vess and QD: Vessery is a brutal vehicle for Expertise since it allows him to save his tokens for defense, especially with Omega Leader and an SF to serve as target-lock spotters.

Especially since VI hurts Vess more with the errata.

QD really wants expertise

Yeah Expertise is much better on QD than Vess because of the double tap. The thing with Vessery is you need him to follow up with QD's attack with a kick. That's why Crack and Juke are so good on him. Vess can already get perfect dice mods on attack thanks to his ability, he has the luxury of being able to push even more damage through with his EPT.

I went to Charlotte NC for a SC Saturday, we had 45 players. Five swiss rounds with a cut to top 8.

I won with:

Fenn Rau : Mindlink, title, AT

Contracted Scout : Mindlink, Plasma Torp, Ex Mun, 4-LOM, R4, Chips

Contracted Scout : Mindlink, Plasma Torp, Scavenger Crane, Cikatro Vizago, R4, Chips

Runner up was Brian, I didn't catch his last name, a Krayt guy though ;)

Fenn Rau : Mindlink, title, AT

Old Teroch : Mindlink, title, AT

Manaroo : Mindlink, Intel Agent, R4, Ion Projector, Rigged Cargo

One of the top four was Chris Allen, also a Krayt guy! Running the same OldManFenn above. I'm not sure about the rest of the top eight, but I did see Three named HLC Scyks Mindlinked to Kaa'to make the cut, so that was cool.

0-2 drop made top 4? Sure that "45 players" wasn't a typo and actually meant "4 players"? :P

I pretty much agree with keeping Expertise on QD. I like the movement order flexibility of having both Vessery and Omega Leader at the same PS, though I definitely get the argument for something different on Vessery. Twin Ion Mk II only triggered once all day, to no practical effect(remove a stress before gaining it right back going over a debris field), so there's definitely room to change it up.

I run almost the exact same list (check a couple pages back) and I agree on Twin Ion. Its usefulness is very match-up dependent: it's wonderful if you expect to see a lot of R3-A2 or Asajj, otherwise it doesn't do much.

I went to Columbus GA on June 24 for their store championship. There were 20 players so 4 swiss rounds with a cut to top 4.

Lightweight Frame 2
Special Ops Training 0
Ship Total: 35

"Backdraft" — TIE/sf Fighter 27
Veteran Instincts 1
Fire-Control System 2
Sensor Cluster 2
Lightweight Frame 2
Special Ops Training 0
Ship Total: 34

The Inquisitor — TIE Advanced Prototype 25
Push the Limit 3
Autothrusters 2
TIE/v1 1
Ship Total: 31

Squad Total: 100

Runner up ( Jello Knight ):

Talonbane Cobra — Kihraxz Fighter 28
Attanni Mindlink 1
Vectored Thrusters 2
Ship Total: 31

Not seen the results on here: 66 player Store Champ at Element Games in Manchester, UK. Felt more like a regional than a store champ!

Christian Knight won with the Dengar/Fenn/Inaldra thing that's tearing the place up, beating Tom Reed in the final (Justin Phua's Worlds list).

Main takeaway was just how much Dengar there was. Seemed like Rauboats are dead and everyone has jumped onto either Dengar & Fenn, Dengar & Tel, or Dengar Fenn & Inaldra.

Imperials had some great showings but overall came up short in the final rounds. Scum were 5 of the Top 8, Rebels 2, Imperials 1.

What was the imperial list that made it up there?

Do you know which upgrades he had on Dengar?

I'm guessing but most likely, Mindlink+K4, Overclocked, Title, Countermeasures.

Yeah that's the 'standard' loadout and I'm pretty sure it's what he had.
