Tried and proven method; Indiana Jones, Goonies, Home Alone list goes on and on and on and on. Of underage heroes saving the day.

I think the naboo pilots were decent, they just had overwhelming droid starfighters against them and they were trying to take down a capital ship that was too strong even for their proton torpedoes (which Qui-gon pointed out might be a possibility).

It's not like anakin did something that should have been totally obvious to the other pilots. He flew inside the hanger at the exact moment the shields were open to let more fighters out.

Speaking of proton torps. Do you think the N1 should get two slots since it held 10 which is more than the ywing which has 2 slots.

BUT, since the New Trilogy is just a copy of the Original Trilogy, it was easy to adapt them into the existing (mother) factions. That's not the case of the Clone Wars factions.

True, which is why you would add the Republic and CIS as their own factions. They have enough material just from the movies to stand on their own, and if you add Legends material they become just as deep as the existing factions.

He was 10.

Yeah that. They were basically flying a suicide mission and knew it, and no. Not more than the Y-Wing. It'd be weird for the N1 to be a torpedo boat.

So moar shiptoasting; got it.

Ya know, has there been any rationale for ze goggles on Naboo pilot uniforms ? I mean, it doesn't appear that they are HUD enabled, or shaded to help against solar glare, and if the canopy gets cracked in space, getting wind in your eyes is the least of your worries in that suit...

Sorry if this has already been answered earlier :P

Maybe it is a traditional uniform, like Swiss Guard or Queen's Guard.

Prior to the gunboat reveal, I thought so. Now we have the reload action, which gives a different approach to consider

****, even waiting on Star Wars movies before the Mouse got involved.

It's really funny you wrote that today. Just this morning I looked at my bookshelf, saw Dance of Dragons, and thought "crap, have I missed the next one. . .that was years ago." Googled it this AM. . .nah, probably another 1-2 years to go.

TBH, I'm not reading anything more by him til he's done. I'm not having a Wheel of Time fiasco.

There’s probably a payload difference. Star Wars isn’t always that specific, but it’s a safe bet the torps in the N-1 aren’t the same size as the Y-wing.

So...we need page 300 to get the N1? ALRIGHT N1 FAN BOYS, WE GOT SOME WORK COPY PASTA! By posting your adding to the weight of the thread. Just saying.

I was thinking an autopilot upgrade could come with this that makes you copy the same maneuver on the next turn, but you can rotate 45 degrees at the end of that move.

I like the idea; that could work as a droid added to the original cards the OP posted.

I hope they make it another paintjob. The Yellow one triggers too many sad memories. Anyway I hate the prequels that much that I will keep supporting this thread with futile and embittered hate posts. I hope you appreciate that. I am doing this only for my GUNBOATS having something to shoot down.

Lol i appreciate that, honestly there is more ships I want in this game first (Gunboat but i will have that soon)......but the trouble causer in me likes to stir the pot, and would love the rage fits this would bring.

Well if it has a playable Leia pilot I will even buy one. Though I really hope they do not mix timelines so I am spared 'Snotty Vader'

They are smaller than the ones used in X-Wings and Y-Wings.
And they are omnidirectional nuclear warheads whereas the GCW era torps are shaped nuclear charges.

I think the spread the OP did is fantastic. I think they are costed well considering they can't have IA upgrade.

Honestly, I would vote against the N1. It takes away from the feel of the game.

Why should we be looking backwards to the cringe worthy prequels when there is a ton of new material being produced all the time of far higher quality that we can pick ships from? Stuff from the New Trilogy, Rebels and hopefully the new show all fit together a lot better than the N1 while also not being a reminder of those dark days of JarJar and child Anikin.

Just because it detracts from you; doesn't mean it doesn't add to others.

Exactly!

I freaking love the N1. It’s by far my favorite Star Wars ship and is quintessentially Star Wars for me, because it was the ship I daydreamed flying when I was a kid. I never played TIE fighter or Galaxies so the gunboat and scum ships are totally foreign to me, but I did wear out our VHS copy of Ep I and play Battle for Naboo on the N64. I would absolutely love to see it added to the game, especially with an iconic character like Leia.

Im happy the Gunboat is coming and that FFG draws heavily for Galaxies, because they “feel” Star Wars to so many people. But it goes to show that what “feels” Star Wars is so idiosyncratic that it makes a poor barometer by which to evaluate what should be included in the game.

If it did it would give FFG an excellent opportunity to introduce a double torpedo upgrade to help out Y-wings and B-wings.

Here is the thing, for some people the prequels are their first trilogy, they will and do have the same nostalgia effect as the OG do on older fans. Just be happy that they acted as a gateway drug to the Star Wars universe as a whole for so many fans.

Also while on Prequel N64 games, my good i loved PodRacing, the arcade version too.

That is so true, and so sad. How could this happen? Why did Gorge have to spoil a whole generation with his bs up to the point that they feel entitled to call Ep1-3 'Star Wars'.

Star Wars begins with Episode 4! These other things... these terrible things... it is a dark place to go!

Thing is, with the Leia comic series we can have the shiny 50s look classic without having to have annoying child.

Equally, as noted, Reload lets you make torpedoes a reasonable option without needing 2 torp slots.

For that matter, between Flight Assist Astromech, BB-8 and R7-T1, you've got a fair amount of dogfighting ability tied up free in the astromech slot now.
