Fine-tuning this Dengar + Asajj squad

By Gibarian, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Something I'm thinking of using at a regional. The components I have settled on are:

Dengar

Expertise

K4 Security Droid

Unhinged Astromech

Punishing One

Asajj Ventress

Latts Razzi

That leaves 8 points. Asajj's EPT is the top priority. I'm leaning towards PTL. I've considered doubling down on Expertise, but I don't know if I want to go that way. Assuming she gets PTL that leaves 5 points, and I've been thinking about putting that towards Scavenger Crane + Countermeasures on one of the two ships. I'm not sure which would benefit more from that combo, though. It would make Asajj even more tanky, which would be good if the opponent targets her first, but she might already be tanky enough to hold the fort, and Dengar might benefit from the bonus survivability.

Open to all other suggestions, if anyone has anything they think complements the core build I listed above.

With the K4/Unhinged combo, I usually like to run Plasma Torps and Guidance Chips on Dengar as well. I definitely agree about PtL on Asajj. That leaves 2, which could be a Scavenger Crane for the torps or Glitterstim for Asajj to give her an awesome turn.

Add PtL and Gyroscopic to Asajj and Hull to Dengar?

Or PtL, Engine, Black Market Slicer Tools all on Asajj.

I've been playing around with a similar list in preparation for a regional tournament as well:

Dengar; Expertise, K4 Security Droid, R4-B11, Punishing One

Asajj; PtL, Latts Razzi, Gyroscopic, Burnout SLAM

I like the synergy between K4 and B11 to make Dengar that much more dangerous. It leaves fewer points for Asajj but PtL and Latts is usually enough to get her to the end game where she dominates.

I run my Dengar in this build the same way Gibarian, and quite like it as it is. For my upcoming regional I'm leaning towards running Asajj with Expertise, Latts Razzi, Burnout Slam and Shadow Castor.

I think for the Asajj either Gyroscopic Targeting or the Title is a must but I've found running both too expensive for my liking. Up until recently I was running her with PTL and it does make her quite tanky, but another option I've thought about is running is equipping 2 Glitterstims on her. Also the Burnout Slam is a great option either use it in the first turn to make 2 5 moves or to be kept as an escape option for later in the game.

I considered the title, but it doesn't synergize too well with PS 9 Dengar. I guess you can still ruin somebody's day by changing their direction or bashing them into a rock, but you're still wasting the whole -1 agility effect.

While bashing somebody into a rock is always a bit of fun, There are times when I've been able to Tractor Beam a lower PS pilot who is going to shoot Dengar you can sometimes barrel roll/boost them into range 1 of him and he can then get to shoot back at them with a -1 agility.

Actually, that's pretty clever!
