If you look at the
Hastur
Hypnos research encounter cards there are little pips on the left and right sides of each encounter. Each card is different too. I haven't been able to figure out what they're for. Granted I haven't looked at everything yet as to keep surprises intact. Anyways, anyone know what these are for?
Dots on Hastur's research encounter cards?
Those have no mechanical effect.

Makes you wonder why there are there then? Each card has its own variant of 0,1, or 2 pips on each the left and right side of each encounter. They certainly looks as if they were deliberately placed there.
Edited by olafpkyouCan you upload a pic? Mine doesn't have them.

There are no pips, not sure what hes talking about.
Huh, that is strange. I'll get a picture for you guys tonight.
Here are some pictures. Spoilers obviously
First two are two different cards. Notice the different amount of pips on each side of the card.

Last one shows all the cards left sides at least and how they are all different.

Could this be... another code ?
Thanks for the picks but that is not Hastur's cards.
Oh yeah I only see the cats now.
Could very likely be a code, there are a lot of possible combinations of 0, 1 and 2 given 3 spaces on the left and 3 spaces on the right.
Whose cards are they, Hypnos?
(Guessing you got confused by the H)
Yeah, my mistake. These are Hypnos. What a fool
Question still remains. What the heck are these things?
You good sir, have probably uncovered the "New Code"
Check out the threads on Boardgamegeek where they figured out the previous ones, which hinted at Under the Pyramids and Dreamlands.
I think they also hinted at Nyarly but that didn't pan out.

Cool! I'll post it in BGG and maybe someone with more time than myself can figure it out.

In the post above I linked a thread where all the previous puzzles were solved. It's likely that the codebreakers are still subscribed there.
There are also dots on the Atlach-Nacha Research cards. I think it might be morse code.
One dot = Dot
Two dot = Dash
When there is nothing = Space
Obviously we should check the code in order of the cards starting from 1.
From left to right, or from top to bottom. Starting with Atlach-Nacha or starting with Hypnos.
That's what I thought at first. But I'm not so sure that's the case. Sometimes there will be two or more spaces in a row going by that.
