Monster Activation Special Effects & Delve Stages

By Unknown X, in Road to Legend

Hello everyone,

I have two questions regarding the rules in the App.

1. When special effects on monsters activation are not persistent (like "every attack a monster from this group performs gains +2 Range"), but instead something like "every hero with condition x has y happen to him" (I was thinking of the Dark Minotaurs for example), when exactly does that happen? Is this performed at the start of the activation, or would this apply as soon as the condition is met, so for example once a hero receives the condition? Is there a general timing when to resolve the special effect boy, so to say, which would make that clear?

2. Is any fatigue recovered when heroes progress through a portal from one stage of the Delve to the next?

It does not say so, which would make one think that no fatigue recovery takes place, but since it seems very similar to the transition from one encounter to the other, I feel tempted to apply the same rules and would like to have it clarified, if that was intended or not.

Can anyone help me with those two questions?

1: The app should always say 'immediately' (when the dialog appears) or 'at the end of it's activation' (triggered after each monster) or similar.

2: Unless instructed otherwise the delve follows the rules for a single quest (and single encounter for that matter), so no.

I alas could not find the Special Effects, but if I encounter them next, I shall take care to write them down immediately so that I can point to the exact wording that confused me.

I ran througjh a couple of "pretend runs" of the Delve to get a number of different monster groups, but every one I encountered indeed was worded perfectly clearly.

But as a general rule, the special effects would be read (and if applicable executed) first and any effect that is "immediate" would happen exactly once before any of the monsters are activated, correct?

Yes.
