Agreed. There's no way FFG is going to let there be a shortage of the main game for long, especially with a new big box expansion hitting shelves in a couple weeks.

There already is a shortage and it's not "awaiting reprint" which means it is several months away. I am curious why they would allow this to happen with a new expansion coming out.

Not having the base available when expansions are flooding out is leaving money on table.

I have no evidence to found this on, but within the next 2 or 3 weeks you should see a lot more base games.

Just can't see such a greedy company making such an oversight.

I hope you're right, because if the base game isn't even available for 3+ months I'll probably be a lot less excited to buy it. I certainly won't pick up the 'new' expansion then either, not for a while anyway.

It seems like a huge oversight to release an expansion when the base game is completely sold out from everywhere.

To be fair, they have a huuuge library of games, so it's easy to see how some things can go "out of print" for periods of time. That said, this is a pretty huge slip-up.

I'm not really sure it's as big of deal(to the company) as you may think. I would imagine that the initial target market for the first run of an expansion are for those who own the game, especially when there are already two other big box expansions and three small box expansions. If this was the expansion that was going to get you to buy the game, that's fine, you do you. From a business stand point it may be better to have the reprint of the base come out when the expansion stocks are stable. (Obviously when priorities are taken into consideration. Ideally everything is in stock all the time.) Why waste a precious spot in their printing queue for a base when they can't keep expansions in stock?

the only copies of this game i have been able to find are online, specifically Amazon. Unfortunately Amazon wants to charge a ridiculous amount for the game. 130 dollars before shipping and handling. sorry i'll stick to Arkham Horror then, especially if this game is not going to get reprinted. 130 dollars is way too much to spend on a board game in my opinion.

Funny how "several months" turned out to be a few weeks. As I had said, there was no way FFG was going to let this be out of stock for long.

It never even hit the "Printing" update or anything.
