Add Traps and Puzzles

I bought my son Mansions of Madness (MoM) for XMAS and we played last night. Quite honestly, I was not excited to play at all. I just am not into the setting.

I prefer fantasy or sci fi settings and we own Descent 2nd Edition and a handful of the expansions. At first, I was rather bored as we played MoM, but when we came upon the first puzzle, it really got me into the game and by the time we completed the quest, we were all thrilled. The puzzles really made the game.

And that got me thinking.........Why hasn't FFG incorporated Traps and Puzzles into Descent? It is a classic part of any fantasy RPG and could be easily incorporated just like in Mansions of Madness.

Puzzles in mansions are really divisive. Some love them some hate them.

I wouldn't mind this but I doubt it will happen.

I'd love a more puzzly descent fighters holding of enemies while caster try and figure out a door or open a portal in the nick of time.. I hope rtl is quite free design wise and we have might see a manor of ravens style adventure haunted house of puzzles with a diffrent pace and diffrent lose mechanic maybe
