I have one question - I am using OS X for this and a window pops up saying my fonts may look different - but I thought it implied they would still be legible. For anything other than a location card the font for the text on the card other than titles, etc shows merely as dots and prints as such.

I have been unsuccessful finding anyway to change the font size - is there a way I would be able to do this in the structure of the program? Or is there a work around since the issue is actually Apples Java environment?

Check inside the core files (career.js, wound.js etc.)

You'll find the createFrontPainter() and createBackPainter() functions and blocks like this one :

Excellent work Hurlanc, really top notch. I was wondering if you could have an option for the Action Cards to not have a portrait image. See Perform a Stunt for an example. Personally I don't mind not having to hunt down artwork for my cards and running into copyright issues even if the test space is not needed.

That's already in there, i think it is on the common tabn? there is a tick box for portrait or picture or something... by default it is ticked, but if you untick it the card reformats in the vein of perfom a stunt.

the portrait tab is actually automatically generated as soon as the paintPortrait() function is called.

Its more than useful, it saves pecious space (after translation text can be a bit longer lengua.gif ).

By the way, any possible reason why can't I create wound and insanity cards?

I don't see them in the "choose component" window under "warhammer 3eme edition" tab (or any other tab to say the truth).

I see those components files when I unpack the zip, but in the SE they are absent...

What did I broke again??

I downloaded SE alpha 7 and install the patches for it, then installed version 3 of Hurlancs plug-in. All the cards work great and I can now re-open my skill cards.

inside the zip file, check the class-map.txt, this file tells SE which choice you have when logging in
it should like this (at the very bottom) of the file:

I added and removed this plugin many times (always remembering to close SE after every action, so it is: open SE, remove plugin, close SE, open SE, install plugin, close SE, open again, try it out).

I also reinstalled the latest version a few times (just in case), had the errors at first, then errors disappeared, but no insanity, or wound cards during the whole operation.

Right now I have no previous versions errors, and everything from career to location card works as intended, but insanity, and wound cards are nowhere to be found.

Maybe SE has some kind of cache, that remembers files from older versions, or does not overwrite everything?

I had something similar to this when cards were added in an earlier version, first they didn't appear and then all the cards doubled up and were listed twice.

In the end I think i did a re-install of SE then the plugin..

do you double click on the plugin to install it, or move the files in manually?

Usually I double-click, but I tried adding by the plugin manager too, with no luck.

I will try ro reinstall SE, when I get back from work.

Waoh. This is HUGE. Is there some place to print these nicely once the work is done ?

Just use PDF creator to generate a PDF file from your cards (Using the Deck builder to print more than one / page) and if you don't have a laser colour printer at home, go to any copy shop, you'll be able to print everything for a few bucks, maybe even on cardboard.

You can put at least 25 talent cards per page, and 4 recto-verso action cards par page.

Didn't try other kind of card but except for career cards, it should be the same than action/talent cards.

By the way, it seems that Strange Eons has a great success for custom made cards, maybe all fan-created material should be available somewhere, all in one place, rather than here and there in the FFG forums. on Hammerzeit, for example, if the owner is interested...

Small bug:

- dice symbols are not working in Requisites field (Minor Ward card uses additional <P> when engaged for example)

noted, will be corrected in next release.

i tried to build custom talent slots, I created a dozen of colourful background images for talent slots and implemented successfully but i got stuck when trying to rotate text. does not seem possible at the moment sorry guys i emailed chris jennings (creator of Strange Eons) if he knows a solution.

- a few cosmetic changes on the title font, or sizes of comboboxes..
- added the Custom Talent option : you can now design your own talent slots by choosing a background color and a caption. Make sure you choose the "Custom" Talent.

I know i'll have have to add it to Talent Cards of course. I'll implement it in talent cards when we'll have a satisfying and stabilized system for career cards.

For instance, at the moment i only have 1 custom description, maybe someday someone wil need custom1 and custom2 on the same career...
Also, I painted a few backgrounds with distinctive colours. I can add more or different kinds later, (just ask) and if i find the time (and if needed) i'll implement a do-it-yourself tint-saturation-brightness component to let you design your own colors (it does exist in SE)

Here are some bugs I found, just to keep you awake (French language, version 2.1 alpha 7) :

- I have a hard time to click on the file menu and I have to move over the edition menu to move over the file menu to have it open. very strange indeed.

- Not a bug per se, but as I translate the everything into french, it would be nice that the career card template is available in French... :) (Same for everything, of course, but it's not really important! :) )

- With my talents cards, I still have this error when I open/save them : Uncaught ReferenceError: "diy" n'est pas défini at w3e/talentCard.js:204

- There's no Trick type for the talent cards (For the pet's talents)

- Is it possible to hide definitively the Script Output windows?

- I've created 3 decks, one with 3 careers, one with all the talents and one with 19 action cards, when I try to load them all, I got an insufficient memory error (actions and careers are loaded but not the talents) but memory is far from full. (I can give you the files and/or the memory error message if you need it)

- In the deck builder, do you have an auto arrange everything feature, which take everything that's loaded, arranger it in sufficient number of page in a clean way? (Am I asking too much? :) )

Just one thing: On the action cards, in the reckless side of the card, it wont allow me to set the Recharge number to "!" for actions that last a whole scene. I can do it on the conservative side, but not on the reckless side. Dont know if this has been brought up before.

And if i could make a request, i wonder if its possible to make a template for Career´s special ability cards.
