How are you laying stuff out on the table? Any innovations at your table?

By Emirikol, in WFRP Gamemasters

I hope to have pix for this thread tomorrow, but for now we put the box lids out for Adv'Toolkit and the core on the corners of the table. We spread out the dice evenly amongst them (except for the guy who's always going 3 deep in Reckless..he get's the reckless stack).

Another thing I did was to put the Party Card on a vertical stand. We put the talents on a slot on top so they're visible. Party tension is tracked vertically on the right and Party fortune is tracked vertically on the left.

I've ditched the chits and have gone to gems (wedding gems/ice). They're quicker to manipulate for tracking stuff on the table.

Any innovations at your table?

I have things stored in well organized bins, so specific chits & beads are easy to get to. The standard chits are used by the players to track recharges, fortune and power/favour.

I used colored gems to indicate ranges (instead of multiple chits). I also use colored gems to indicate useage of A/C/E per NPC/Henchman group.

Some more words on this one please. :)

Glass beads instead of cardboard markers, not more then that.

Exactly; I place a red glass bead for aggression, green for cunning and yellow for Expertise. I haven't decided whether I prefer to have them laid out before hand, taking one from each pool until they are spent or the reverse: placing beads onto their sheets when they use them.
