Forsaken Lore almost always overpriced.

By Chronos96, in General Discussion

I know this has probably been discussed on end but I need someplace to vent.

1st I almost exclusively buy from Amazon but every time I see FL it's almost always listed at $39.99. I know it's available here on the site but when you add in shipping it ends up being around that $39.99 price point anyways.

You would think that as popular as the expansion is or how it's considered practically essential that FF would make an effort to have it continuously in print. If they decided to add it the main game and increase its price by $20 I would even be willing to buy it. Or if they had it as a print on demand option that would be great as well.

I know that it takes time to assemble all of the components together but when you go up to 6-7 month periods without the product available then something needs to change. Either FF needs to double or triple the production cycle or just add it into the base game and increase the price.

Venting is 100% fine.

The only thing... Forsaken Lore is available (in stock on FFG shop), for the usual 24.95. So, possibly it's not their fault?

When you add shipping it comes to about $39.99 anyway.

Thanks to it being in stock currently, it's available on Amazon for $22.80, CSI for $21.89, and MM for $19.99 (along with loads of smaller online stores).

I understand your point about it being out of print for long periods of time, but FFG has a huge catalog of game and they have to worry about how much of everything to keep in inventory both for space and for the risks involved with stocking too much of any given product.

I don't think I've ever seen a period where any of the EH expansions weren't in stock somewhere on the Internet for retail (or less) if a person digs a little.
