This thread is to report and discuss the results for the 2016 X-wing Worlds tournament. FFG Worlds is the highest level of X-wing Tournament play, and takes place at Fantasy Flight Games headquarters in November. The tournament hierarchy is:

Rebels are going to win yet again.

Does anyone else think Rebels are going to win?

I don't know, all 3 factions have some good builds going at the moment.

Rebels have regen (in various flavours) back in action now that U-boats have been nerfed. Big-ship action has been boosted by the arrival of the Ghost.

For the Empire, Palp Aces remains sold but has been diversified by the upgrading of Defenders. In fact I predict /x7 Defenders (both with and without Palp) will feature heavily this year.

Scum have lost U-boats but Dengaroo is still fairly strong and the party bus remains solid. Brobots will still be around. I haven't played against the Protectorate Starfighter yet but this may make a showing too.

Hopefully we have a bunch of people posti km g lists and results on here. I'll be around later this afternoon and start 'reporting' here.

I won't be there until 3:30 today, but if there are specific things you'd like to see, let me know and I'll find it out. I personally hate not being at big tournaments and waiting on information that seems to never come. So I'll try to do my journalistic duty!

I'm interested to see how well he does with it. I tried the list once, but I didn't love it (but I've never liked flying TLT Ys, so I suspect that's where the real problem lies).

The Y wings get burned down really fast but Asajj is such a pain to pin down after that. The list frequently goes to time against high agility ships but can usually win on points. If Asajj can get some early hits and tractors into TLT territory it's usually over pretty quick.

I was trying to get Ion Y's to work with the exact same list but TLT is soooo much better.

I used a list like that but replaced Asajj with Ketsu to reduce agility for my TLTs. It was really strong, but it will be difficult for sure.

I played lots of Asajj in the last couple of months, and this loadout is decent, but Defenders can be a tough match up. Getting hits to go through Defenders to trigger the title is almost impossible. Best case is to strip the tokens to open up the TLT shots. If the Defenders go for the TLTs first, they can win easy.

Against other match ups with lower agility you're looking at a great list that provides constant fire and control.

I like all 3 of these lists. This is going to be another interesting worlds.

Really interested to see how Gordon's list does. That seems really strong! Has a little something for everything truth be told.
