An idea for a house rule:
Whenever a character gains or replenishes fate (including the beginning of the game), he rolls 1 die and places the result on that fate token. This is done before he chooses light or dark side.
When a character spends fate, instead of rerolling, he replaces the original result with the die tied to the token spent (this is still considered reroll for purpose of rules, cards etc.).

You can roll 1 if you use normal method too
Plus, 1 is actually good because you put in on dark fate.
Sounds like a good excuse to go buy more dice!
Tested - plays quite nice. Characters have more choices to make and are slightly more powerful.
Sounds like a good character build idea.
