Expansion on Original?

Hi,

I saw a new expansion to Letters from Whitechapel announced recently! I happen to have the previous version of the game - not released by Fantasy Flight - I picked it up before Fantasy Flight re-released it.

Will the expansion work with the previous version of the game? If not, why not?

I'd simply suggest you to wait for rules to be online, read them and see if there are compatibility problems (I don't think so, but still, checking doesn't cost a thing)
