WH40k gone from drivethru?

By Highlord Astavar, in Dark Heresy General Discussion

Saddening, but at least we have clarification now.

I guess the silver lining is that the RPGs may re-launch elsewhere (which might turn out to be better or worse -- we'll see), and maybe FFG can divert its resources to other licenses it has acquired. Such as making a new L5R RPG.

Whelp time to go shopping before it's all gone then I guess.

Don't want to risk it being gone before the possible holiday sale, if they even have one.

But I love all my 40k Brothers & Sisters!

Stay GAMING

Hmm... do I need Forgotten Gods?

I think we are all thinking the same thing... placed an order just now. Heh.

My wallet is crying.

I guess it would have been added in the book for Only War that never came to be.

You're probably right, and given I did almost everything else tank related in that product line it probably would've been me writing them. Oh well! :)

It's fun, the ending makes a descision I don't like personally, but overall there's some good lore expansion on the Desoleum Wastes, that one Rogue trader ship that goes between it, and Thaur.

Not a bad adventure series at all.

It's nice that it ties in with the Core and GM kit adventure. Sad there isn't much from Seeds of Heresy that goes into it (or at all if I remember.)

Oh I know what's in it - my group play tested it, though this was before even the DH2.0 beta IIRC - just never got around to getting the actual book.

Don't know what Gencon you went to, but I picked up all the DH2 books I didn't have at the booth.

Was this the sort of fenced-off store area with the crazy long line? I skipped that. I definitely didn't see them demoing anything 40k RPG related.

Yes.

Fair enough, and no they weren't. It was that new Star Wars Episode 7 Force and Destiny adventure thing.

OK Dumb question - so is this the end of our 40K Forum?

What about all the good content we all posted herein?

How come Black Library doesn't argue to the Judges that there really is no such thing as a unique thought and that intellectual property is a illusion propagated by Radicals, Heretics, Insurrectionists, and Freethinking trash?! LMFAO

Archived likely.

It'll be in the archives should they choose to archive it, but even then these are their forums. It's theirs to do with what they wish, grab what you want if you're worried about it.

Because the administratum has to make money somehow.

Archiving would be the smart move, because traffic on their website- even if it's drawn there for a discontinued game- increases the number of people FFG can advertise new product to.

++ SEO Too! lol

In the UK now I think every 40k RPG title is now either out of stock or at about £45+ and rising.
