But, yes, this is great. Aanu found a purple lightsaber in some ruin (origin unknown; purple is one of the ambiguous colors...) and is probably the most traditional Force-user here. For all that she's not hugely Jedi-ish. And now they're stuck with each other.

Yup ! Another cool juxtaposition I noticed: nobody writes by hand anymore. They use datapads with keyboards or just dictate. Kalira specifically sought out how to learn to write by hand and learned it so she could write in her dream diary. Of all the characters in our party, the only other one who would likely have taught themselves that skill would be the archaeologist.

Also, violet is my favorite color, so although I'm undecided if Kalira will ever seek out a lightsaber herself or not, if she did she'd end up with a violet or scarlet-colored one (I think her favorite color is scarlet). Yes, I give my characters favorite colors! And favorite foods and drinks and activities and...

I always wanted a purple double bladed lightsabre myself. Though I'm not sure if Kolah will give up the sniper rifle in favor of the lightsabre. I do have other characters that might though.

And now that we're sure it's the Empire I'm gonna say that Kolah was captured after taking a bounty. He didn't know the target was Imperial and as such attempting to take an Imperial officer has netted him a world of trouble.

Hey Shy, did you remember that the encumbrance of armor goes down by 3 when it's worn? If not, you might not (yet) be encumbered by your starting gear! A backpack would still be a good idea, but you know, it helps!

I'd need to spend a bit more time reviewing it to find any balance issues (and copying it down into the format my Brain understands to really get a sense of how the talents connect), but not bad!

Related to never-playing-face-characters, let's talk unarmed/brawl weapons. So I have a repulsor first with slow-firing 2. Given our equipment, I could get another repulsor fist and shoot-shoot-other action, repeat--but with DLMA's role, I'd prefer I think fancy armor instead of another fancy weapon. I may just pick up brass knuckles.

If I do two repulsor fists and choose to just punch somebody on the third round when they're both on cooldown, I understand a successful attack's damage is brawn plus uncanceled successes, but how does critting work? Is it possible to crit with an unarmed brawl attack, or is that a feature only granted by weapons?

Yep, it has a crit rating of 5, and the Disoriented 1 and Knockdown qualities.

I actually think that, as a Brawl weapon, the repulsor fist also has Disorient 1 and Knockdown as well, but I'd need to review to make sure.
