Odd Choices
Sincerely, you have removed my desire to buy the game. But you have given enough reasons for it. :(
All completely valid (pros and cons) points. It seems like the potential is really there though with the app side of the house. Right now what may seem like very legit reasons for caution may turn out to be great strengths. As someone who is intimately familiar with software development life cycle I can tell you that this kind of software at this scale is bound to start small/simple and with enough attention and feedback will become more mature over time. I am not on this team so I don't know what their backlog or goals are but there is no reason that in time the replay-ability couldn't go through the roof.
Probably still a 'wait and see' approach if you are on the fence, but so much potential.
(Disclaimer: I own a copy and have only been able to play through a few rounds. Enjoyed it very much so far. Excited to see what the expansions look like in the fall and what progress is made on the app side.)
