"Tessrah. Kor. Could you possibly focus on the urgent situation, rather than each other?" Dera folds her arms and looks back at the Republic officer. "Apologies, Commander, for our lack of preparation. Tensions have been running... higher than they should, really."

Looking over at Dera "I'm simply giving Tessrah some encouragement, the way she was speaking of herself isn't conducive for group cohesion. Everyone needs to feel confident in themselves that's all."
Tessrah smiled but not in the direction anyone could see except for maybe Kor standing near her. "showing compassion is not against any code I've been brought up to believe. Seems I have few friends here except for you and the clones."
How had things gotten so horribly out of hand? Dera is beginning to think she'd misjudged her ability to rely on the others... but that doesn't matter. She's got who she's got. "We don't have to be friends to be allies," Dera says. "The fact remains that your recent behavior would be a liability on the battlefield. If you cannot function, then you should be in the infirmary. If you can, then start doing so."
With a raised eyebrow she looked at Dera. "my behavior is actually rather normal." she turned stamping the heel of her boots. "I have been as nice as I can to you and others. I've given praise and thanks to you for your earlier help only to be given a cold shoulder. Hell the only person here who has been nice to me has been the man who made a initial joke at my expense." she cocked a hip to the side. "the moment anyone shows me a hint of empathy or compassion is met with such venom astounds me especially since I have even apologized to someone who thinks I put people at risk when we were all at risk regardless of the situation or my actions of self preservation to be told "oh she did it out of fear" is even more astounding." Tessrahs brow frowned. "I am a jedi not a punching bag" Tessrah walked to the skimmer "I can be confident when I need to be but I don't need anyone tearing me down every chance they get sometimes for the sake of getting along its best to say nothing as I had when we disagreed on where we prefer to meditate." she jumped into the skimmer "coming?"
Kor looks at the group and speaks up "Enough of this fighting, Dera your words like you asked me before to watch mine I beg you watch yours. Without friendship we have no trust, with no trust their is no teamwork, and in a situation like this where we are under attack we should be trying out hardest to be understanding, the separatists won't care if we together or if we are suffering from infighting... They may prefer our infighting infact. Tessrah didn't run out of fear I saw the hit she took, had she been a bit closer to the beast she'd be lunch. Let's drop the subject and get to being friends. Tess, you should also watch what you say I know you have been supportive and they've been attacking you but please try and forgive them, same goes for the rest of you. Can you all do this for me?" Kor looks at each of his fellow padawans with a smile "Trust me we will be much better off together than apart!"
Edited by ShlambateTessrah looks into the sky "finally someone speaking sense" she sat in a seat crossing her legs and looking forward.
"If that is all?" asked Commander Quirno, looking over the group, an edge in his voice. "Or are you going to go another round?"
"We're done commander. Well do any of those bikes have sidecars attached already it'll allow those of us incapable of driving to partner with those who can." Kor says turning to the Commander with a serious look.
Shaking his head at the situation, Soryn says nothing to the Padawans. Let the others think what they will, he knew the right and wrong of it; regardless of the musings of hypocrites. What was best to do now was watch and wait, as being in the presence of General Kota would no doubt be enough to settle down the bad behavior. Putting a reassuring hand on Dera's shoulder, the Pau'an nods to the Duros, "My apologies, Commander Quirno, our ride in was bumpy and some of us suffer from airsickness. If we could please be off, no doubt there are urgent matters requiring attention. Thank you for your patience with us; we have a long way to go before we're as experienced as we'd like."
Indicating to the speeders, Soryn waits for the Commander's response.
"I dont believe sending you with the scouts may be nesisary. I'd rather leave experienced pilots who know what they're looking for in them. Come, General Kota is in the command center.
With a moment to llook over the base, you can confirm it- the only clones here are in your ship. Definately not what you were led to expect from the Clone Wars.
Tessrah stands and follows the commander to the command center. "was it you who I spoke to on our entry?"
Shad emerges form the ship at the last moment, with some bandages showing through the holes in his tunic. He looks around and sense the tense situation but after a moment follows Dera and the others, asking quietly "what happened? lots of tension in the air. And no clones in the base....how weird"
Vyrr follows the rest, preferring the role of a listener to the one of a talker. For now, at least.
Dera follows Quirno. "There was a bit of an argument," she tells Shad. "It's nothing to worry about now." Then she shuts her mouth again, resolving to keep it shut until she's sure she's in control of herself. Snapping at people, arguing during a crisis—that's no way for a Jedi to behave. Counseling cooperation or not, she'd jumped right back into the argument. Obviously, she's let the intensity of the situation get to her. She will just have to do better going forwards.
The duros nods to Tessrah. "Not exactly the safe careful training were were going to put you through, but our militia here is built around a core of planetary defence forces veterans, and even the recruits are shaping up well. The sepratists might be in for a suprise or two."
Tessrah almost keeping at step
"Ah, well I was actually going to refer to a personal note. I find it surprisingly that duos like yourself have a interesting vocal pattern" she rubbed one of her monitrails "to put it short you make my horns tickle... Which feels odd but I do find it enjoyable." she had a faint smile in speaking. "as to your base being mostly volunteers I find that surprising. I have always fought the separatists in a unit of all clones aside from me and my master. I wonder how unique the experience is between the two?"
Edited by TassedarShad sounds intrigued "I thought the clone army was the only military force opposing the Separatist, i didn't think Arda had a planetary defense force."
Kor pipes in "We had an army before the Clones, we simply needed a large army to counter the droid legions of the separatists no amount of volunteers would match their number, however several billion clones vs several billion droids now we have a war." Kor closes the gap between him and Tess.
"It must be nice not to see the same faces at work every day. Would also help that everyone's birthday is a different day of the rotation, I suppose," the gaunt Pau'an chimes in from behind the main swathe of people.
Shad sounds intrigued "I thought the clone army was the only military force opposing the Separatist, i didn't think Arda had a planetary defense force."
"General Kota has been pushing for less reliance on the clone army, and Representative Hase has been backing him in the Senate to cut into Kamino's war profiteering. The Representative or her aides can give you a rundown of the political end, but the bottom line is that the senate hasnt authorized us to move against the separatists yet."
"It seems they've delayed a bit too long," Dera comments wryly. "Senatorial authorization or not, it's a moot point now."
"I agree with Dera, this attack gives us the ability to act free of senate politics." Kor turns to the Commander " Who does General Kota think is profiteering off of the war?"

"Representitive Hase, you mean- she's got a rant against the clone productions world, Kamino and against Kuat, who've nearly monopolized capitol ship construction. General Kota hasnt really shared his own reasons for this enterprise."
"well somebody has to get the contract for war production, usually by the lowest bidder. Which may explain why our ships odd location for a power regulator grid" Tessrah rubbing a bit of grease off one of her lekku that she just noticed. "it's a story as old as time. People make money off wars when it's convenient."
