I myself am being overwhelmed by these announcements. I would have been more than happy with wave 3+4 and the corellian campaign. All these waves are becoming a little much. Especially when you have to get multiples
I am starting to see the end of buying...
WHy do you need to get multiples? Thats just your addiction talking.
And to think that about 6 months ago, some people thought that Armada was dead due to lack of release... Now people start to complain because there's too many new release coming...
I thought I would have to buy multiple Interdictors for the card I wanted multiples of.
But now I can buy one and wait for the Pelta.

I think that to make certain builds viable I will need multiples. Particularly the fighter packs and the flotillas. Especially for cards like repair crews
Even if I don't play Armada in the far future, I can always use the models for other Star Wars fleet based games. I've even thought of using these miniatures for other sci-fi fleet games (Firestorm Armada comes to mind). Because of that, I'll continue to pick up at least one of each release. Aesthetically, I've liked every release so far too.
Im hoping FFG will consider re-releasing all the core ships with uniform scale (1/7000?) and screen accurate paint jobs. Also, i love the campaign picture of expansion: i dont really want to field anything outside of OT ships, but that kind of expansion would keep the dollars flowing from me.
They wont. If they release the core in scale they would have to rerelease everything in scale. Or are you going to tell me that you would be fine with just the core set looking out of place around the rest of your ships?
I'm gonna quit smoking. Ya. Frig it. I'll start tomorrow
.../inhaaaaaaale.../bloooooow
Best of wishes for this worth while endeavor. Done it myself before my son was born and have no "regrats".

This is the internet, people complain. Why should that surprise us? ![]()
After all you and I are complaining about people complaining. So even we fit the statement. ![]()
I get two of everything. That's about it, so no. I am still in....if I can get games in.
Ok, so where are all the usual sanctimonious forum trolls now?
You know, the ones that jump on people like Super Mario on a turtle any time we complained about not enough/ not fast enough releases?
Seems to me there is an imbalance here! lol
I mean, I'm one of those "give me MOOAR" people so I am happy as a pig in excrement right now and the only thing I hate about wave 5 is that I CAN'T BUY IT YET...
So now that the "Armada is dead because no releases people" are not posting because they are out selling blood for wave 3/4 and all the "Armada is dead to me because there is too much stuff" are clogging up the boards whinging we need some good old fashioned keyboard warriors to step back up to the plate to tell people why they are wrong for having feelings.

Oh I'm not complaining, just making an observation! ![]()
I find the people that complain on a forum highly entertaining, the angrier the funnier! I can't wait for the next AdmiralNelson!
Maybe he (Admiral Nelson) just change is name and is picture and still play the game...
And maybe is looking sometimes at the forum for fun, but without any comments just to be sure to be "incognito" ![]()
yeah, but if he ever made any comment we would for sure know its him because it would be 10 paragraphs.

No.
it would be one paragraph.
It'd be 30 lines long.
But it'd be one paragraph ![]()

Can someone link me some of this insanity? I can't seem to find any of this internet gold in my searches :'( I'm probably spelling his name wrong.

Some things are better left unknown.... and he's been blocked, so you can't acess his account. If you feel like searching for it, it happened when the wave 3 was officially announced. Just hope they didn't delete some of his posts.
But I think it's better to just let him be the name of the ranting/ragequitter spirit... just like EmperorPalpatine was in the X-Wing forum... boy, I've been hanging in these forums for too long now....

Here's two.
I suggest you start even looking at the "Topic Names"

If it makes you feel any better, I can do that for you....
Just kidding, I won't
But mainly because I started Armada recently and I'm still catching up with the expansions ![]()

I think it's awesome that we have waves three and four coming out any day now and that a campaign and wave 5 have been announced and look great. There's going to so much to choose from to create a list soon that our heads may explode like alderaan.

Core ships meaning OT ships
I genuinely wouldn't mind a good 'ole mold update. While I didn't like what i felt to be GW's superfluous rules updates, I appreciated the fa)ct that they revisited the basic models several times over to improve them rather than building a new faction/creating new units I didn't want. I also appreciated that it was ok to mix old and new models (I suppose that's still the case?)

I decided that on my break, the 2nd post for both threads was enough:

I think there's a pretty huge difference between "Armada is dead because [insert sky falling reason here]" and this kind of discussion about walking away from new purchases. Because Armada is not dead or dying, it is quite clearly alive and well... And considering ceasing new purchases doesn't turn your existing set into pumpkins that can never be played again, lol.
So that being said, I'm with you, Ashram. I dropped out of X-wing after the Outrider wave (Although I did get sucked into the new X-wing and TIE from Awakens) because my desire to buy S&V was pretty low. And despite Rebels being the new hotness, I don't really have any fondness for it because I am kind of apathetic about both subscribing to a package for Disney XD or buying the show separately.
"Retiring" from the Armada competitive scene after the last store champs certainly makes it SO much easier to say, 'nah, I think I'm going to skip some of this.' So as with X-wing, being a home player now, Corellian Conflict means so much more to me than any new ships do.
But as I was thinking about this and reading through the replies, I think my problem was not any potential for Armada oversaturation, but a general FFG oversaturation in my collection. I had dumped X-wing, but played Thrones, Netrunner, LoTR and IA at the same time as Armada. That was just too many FFG games at once for me with their model. IA and Netrunner have since met the axe, and LoTR looks like it could be in danger of being replaced by Arkham. Thrones will remain untouchable because it's so quick and my partner and I love playing thematic decks together.
It's quite brilliant if I look at it from FFGs perspective, but their releases dictated how my gaming budget was allocated for a while. There's just too much else out there for someone like me who keeps a stringent game budget. I am never going to regret the Armada buy-in and I'm still going to pick up the releases that really make my ears perk up because the game is just delightful, but it was just time for this guy to say no more to the endlessly expandable model and cap it.
I have zero doubt in the game's health and will continue to love it dearly - just differently.
